  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

a few months ago, my friends' brother was sent to the front lines in Iraq. while there, he was injured and suffered some brain damage from the shrapnel, blindness in one eye, and troubles with one leg. it was believed he would die, but he lived, THANK GOD!:crossrc:
this weekend, he drove out of state to see some buddies returning from iraq. he somehow drove into a ditch, was thrown from his vehicle, and wasn't found for hours. when they found him he was almost dead. he is now in a coma. he has a 5% chance of life, and if he lives, they believe it will be in a vegatative state. however, i believe miracles can happen. despite the terrible odds, there was some improvement already today. slight, but enough to keep me hopeful. i ask for your prayers. this family has gone through so much in the past few years. they almost lost this boy months ago, i really don't want him to die. he's only 21. he has so much life ahead of him. the more prayers that are offered, the better chance he has.:groupray: please pray for him!! i would appreciate it so much, as would his family. novenas are good, simple prayers are good, anything! just please, please, remember him in your prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God bless you all.:crosseo:

HE WOKE UP!!! He had a 99% chance of waking up, and he did and gave his parents the thumbs up sign:thumbsup: THE PRAYERS ARE WORKING!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!!
