Urgent prayer request - Believers being persecuted in India!
Dear Prayer Warriors,
Fill the Void ministries is requesting all prayer intercessors to please pray for our team workers and Pastor friends who preach the Gospel in the country of India. In the state of Tamil Nadu, India, Christian leaders and believers are now under severe persecution. Below is an excerpt of an email we just received from our dear Indian friend Pastor Richard:
"Last week our local Tamil nadu government Put a new law that no one should not convert Any Hindus if they do they will go under the Sever punishment 3 years imprisonment and One lakh rupees fine .
"So they are having the plan to change the prayer Houses in to cow shed uses and they have a plan to Beat the pastors and kill them without any information to government. they said if any one Hindu converted To Christian or Muslim not only one Hindu decreasing But also one of our enemy has been increasing so Kill the people who go to other religion and kill the people who are preaching the gospel .
"Here we don't have any protection to preach the gospel but we believe when the seed die then many seed will come through the harvest please announce this to your church to pray for us ."
Our two dear Pastor friends, Pastor Britto and Pastor Richard, are now on the Hindu extremists' hit list to be attacked and beaten because they are very well known for converting many Hindus over to Christianity. They told us that in many villages, the Hindu leaders are organizing groups of youths to assault Christians who come to do ministry in the villages. Their main goal is to prevent the sharing of the Gospel. In the area where Pastor Britto and Richard live, they are at the top of the list to be attacked. Please pray for God's protection over our fellow Christian believers in this time of trial. Pray that this new law will be thrown out. Pray that the Gospel will continue to be preached in Tamil Nadu. We know that in times like these God is getting ready to do mighty and wonderful things in India and will use those dedicated to Him to win multitudes into His kingdom.
Pastors Britto and Richard and their team workers have long been praying that God will provide a van or other transportation for their Gospel teams. This need is now extremely urgent for their safety as they preach. They have a burden to reach 800 villages with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ by the end of the year. This calling can only be fulfilled by having transportation into the far away villages. We want to make this need known, so we humbly ask that you pray about it and pass it on to others.
Fill the Void Ministries believes that the least that we can do is pray and support our fellow Christian believers in their time of need as they are working in the front lines sharing the love of our Lord Jesus Christ with the lost.
"Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?" I John 3:16-17
