  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well it is much easier to pray for a specific problem. If you trust people enough to pray for you, trust them enough to tell the problem they are praying for. What is the really big "screw up" you did, and why do you feel like a complete and utter failure? Maybe someone can come up with some good advice for you to go along with the prayer!

by screwing up, so many times in the past and this recent one yesterday, they no longer need to look up to me they should look up to someone else

I agree with you up to a point. For one they need not "look up" to you because in so doing they put unwarranted pressure on you to "perform" in some way that will meet yours and/or their standards. Also when they are "looking up" to you, they have taken their eyes off Jesus and He should me not only their's but your focus s well. We as Christians should keep our eyes firmly on Jesus at all times and strive to please Him and Him only.

So don't wory about other people and your mistakes. Take your mistakes to the Cross and leave them there. Jesus loves you and will know your heart and will forgive and strengthen you. Remember Jesus is the one we seek to please First.

We should all look up to Jesus. But often the bible talks about being a light shining in the darkness and being an example to other people. This means you, your imperfect self, should strive to do that. If people look up to you, that means that God is using you to inspire people. Don't get upset because you can't be perfect. Just give thanks that He has chosen to work through you as you are. He knows you aren't perfect and still desires to work in your life. That's pretty cool.
