Urgent - Online Safety Advice!

Hi all. I already stopped participating in the public forums however I found the need to make this thread that is of high importance.

Online human trafficking is a matter of concern and you should always be cautious with any online interactions you have.

• Human traffickers are people of powerful connections.

• Human traffickers USE their previous victims to harvest more victims. The "cool" girl or the guy you've just met online might not be that cool in reality. Even if they disclosed their real identity. It might be a trap. (Human traffickers are masters of wearing masks and deception)

• Human traffickers can make fake accounts on religious forums and websites and claim they are ones of us. If priests could betray families and abuse their children DON'T expect the web to be an exception. Keep an open eye. Always. They can impersonate/use teenagers, young, adults and possibly any fake character to harvest.

• Human traffickers might try to melt you emotionally and/or seduce you. They might try to find your point of weakness and work on these. They will try their best to gain your trust.

Your safety matters. This advice is one of the most critical advices you will ever take, don't trust easily. Put the possibility that even officials can be corrupt (plenty of them are). If one of these put their hands on you, you might regret the day you were born. Human traffickers don't only push their victims into pornography but into other sadistic activities. Instead of losing it all, just live with an open eye.

Inspect, research, be cautious. As God said, we should be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.

Don't let anyone convince you that you are harming them by not submitting and/or trusting their claims. You are not. You are protecting yourself, your loved ones and doing the right thing.

I think these are good reminders even for sites such as this. Not everyone here is a Christian or necessarily a trustworthy person, and the fact that this is a Christian forum may actually make it a target for the kind of deceptive people you describe.

Anyone can seduce someone with few moral standards, but it's a greater challenge to seduce a person devoted to Jesus. Some people enjoy taking on that challenge, and we should never forget that...

My pleasure! I hope this thread was seen by as much people as possible in here so it works as a kind reminder.

Anyone can create a fake account, make a couple posts then jump into private conversations. Sometimes it is easy to spot, sometimes it is not. Hence, caution is needed with everyone.

Maybe try to eliminate the sources? For example, I saw that most platforms allow you to delete your account and/or request them to get rid of your personal information as a legal right AFAIK. I already started doing this with some platforms/companies.

You can do that with an email if they don't have functions for it.
