Please say a quick prayer for my cousin Chris. My aunt and I spoke to him earlier today, in preperation for his departure from Arizona home to Maine by bus. He picked up the money I sent western union but never arrived at the bus station to pick up his (already paid for) ticket and get on the bus. He was leaving behind a relationship in which his girlfriend had been abusive. We are very concerned. He was supposed to contact us after he recieved the money and before he got on the bus. This is completely out of character for him. This girl has had him set up and beaten before by friends of hers. Please pray that he is safe and will find a way to contact us.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks for your prayers. He should be on his way home in the next hour. From what we understand he was trying to avoid a confrontation with the girl and her new boyfriend. They both knew what time he was supposed to be leaving earlier. He didn't let anyone know he changed his plans because he didn't want the other two to find out.

Thank You for guiding Chris and giving him safa passage to make it home. Thank You, Lord, for all the miracles you perform in our lives daily. Thank You for binding the devil and not letting his plans come to fruition.
