I doubt that this has anything to do with that...if you post on other forums where your email has appeared then your email addy is sort of "up for grabs" and if it is stored on a web page in someone's cache, who is then infected, this is probably how you are getting these emails.newlamb said:Does this situation have anything to do with the fact that I've gotten emails from people I don't know which are carrying viruses (thanks to Yahoo for having virus detection software!)? Just wondering?
Wow... you got me beat. My password was only 12611 days old.Freodin said:I have to wonder though: the initial message I got said that my password was over 16000 days old. I know how time flies by - but I did not realize I had been om this forum for over 40 years.![]()
I've already forgotten what I have changed mine to. <sigh>ps139 said:Erwin said some may have to change passwords twice. It is normal. I had to change mine 2 times but that will probably be the end of it.

I cannot tell you what I don't know myself. The hacker only copied cookies, not changed any accounts, so I can't tell which accounts have been compromised. He would only tell me of 1 staff account he used, but there is definitely more than 1 account he has been using.Snowy said:so will the members who were hacked be told that they were?
could the guy actually change our passwords before we do? I didn't change mine to something different, I'm going to now.Erwin said:I cannot tell you what I don't know myself. Changing your password will fix this in any case, and render his stolen cookies useless.
