I completely slept through my alarm and missed church this morning. I hate it. Completely. Utterly. This is the second week in a row. And I am a leader there...it is not good. And i might have to miss next week for work too. ARG!!!!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hey dude how many alarms do you set? and how loud? and how annoying? and how far from the bed? missing church is bad, but Jesus forgives, try missing a final, profs aren't as forgiving : /

I have missed a final before...in high school. So it was ok. I had 2 alarms...but one was a cell phone and the other was a clock...they both shut off. I was doing fine until this last weekend. There is nothing too wrong with missing church...it happens. But I didnt want to miss it for this reason.

I feel bad about it too, but even more so, because I've only got 5 weeks left and I'll be done with my first year of college, yet I still havn't tried any churches around here yet 
I get so little sleep usually that I set 5 alarms .. my normal alarm clock, which has a snooze button that will probably be worn off by this time next year because I hit it too much, then 3 more alarms on my cell phone, and another on my cell phone set for 15 mins before class every day, just in case if i sleep thru all the others
. I bet I drive my roomate crazy :S

It's happened to me too before, I hate it when that happens! But when it does happen, I always mention it when I go to confession so that Jesus will forgive me!

I slept through my snooze alarm this morning, got up late, and left the house to find that I was out of gas!

Yeah, I used to oversleep like that all of the time.
At least until I started going to sleep with my blinds open. The morning sunlight seems to wake me up pretty easily, even better when combined with an alarm clock.

that's why I have 2 alarms set.
Even if I shut the one off near my bed, I have the krazy screaming clock going off in the kitchen. I have to get up!! It's obnoxious.
