The upgrade has changed a lot about how things happen in CF. The Progressive/Moderate/Former Adventists may ask questions here about these changes, and anyone who can help with answers may step forward to answer.

I'll do my best to keep and eye on this thread, and to offer any info that I can.

Dean, is there going to be anything indicating the amount (number) of reps, or is it just going to be symbols? What if the symbols are maxed out?

In CHRIST alone...

I may be wrong, but I've heard that reps will be very similar to how they used to be. The upgarde will not be complete for about a week or two, so please be patient as the changes are still rolling in, and features are being tweaked.

Is there a way to set our default font color to black instead of gray?

This is being looked into as we speak. I would guess that the color schemes that you currently see, including fonts, are still under revision. (many folks have mentioned the gray font as unreadable)

Also, there will be a way to set you're own personal font settings in a week or two, if I understand the upgrade properly.

The color of the default font and the background color of the posts have now been changed by the site designer. I think it's an improvement. Overall, I think the new style looks cleaner. I kind of like it now that I'm getting used to it.

It looks as though the default font color has been changed from the low-contrast gray to an easily read black already.

I like the new look of the forum, and I am happy to see an end to the various cartoons that only consumed bandwidth and added nothing to a conversation.

I'm curious to know if there is a snafu in the "blessings", since you have ten trillion blessings now.
And here I was going to give Freeindeed a hard time with his billion blessings!

People can still have characters, but at this point it's either that or the avatar, not both. A lot of people haven't reacquired their character items yet (they didn't automatically transfer in the upgrade), but items are free for the first month so that people can easily get their stuff back. I think I'll just leave my avatar.

Yes, I think it's some kind of bug. When they get it fixed, all of the extra blessings will be removed, and people will have the same amount that they had before.

I think I'll just leave my avatar.
At first I was tempted to fetch a character, and then thought better of it.
I like the old picture of Duty Cat on my shoulder when he was a kitten with curious eyes I remember your comment on CARM that you never cared for animals, and have long snickered secretly at the dalmation your husband has for his avatar.
Little hints are dropping from the sky, Sophia

I like animals as long as they're outside. Hubby doesn't actually like dogs; that dalmatian picture is just a painting that he did.

I like the new set-up except that that it is longer than my screen and I am constantly having to move my bar back and forth to read every thing. Was this done for wide screen monitors? Is there a way I can resolve this problem as I have a 19in. non-wide screen monitor?
Thank-youu

Mmm Hmmm. Sure.
Pass on to yer hub-hub that I wrote another couple of contributions to the denom-specific theology area. CRIB just started a new thread about the sabbath, and is raising the right questions.

And remember, a kitten will melt the hardest heart that ever was.

That's really odd, especially if you're using the native 1280x1024 resolution (assuming it is a LCD). Last night I worked the site with no difficulty on a 15" LCD running 1024x768 resolution.

Sopmething to check would be the font selection in Windows (use normal instead of large or extra-large fonts), and also select 'medium' font size in Internet Explorer under the <view> menu.

Do you see it on every page or just some? There is apparently a problem with extraneous codes in some people's titles that could make things display incorrectly on certain pages. If it's a glitch, I'm sure it will be worked out soon.

I do like cats, but when we had kids, I didn't want the extra work. Besides, our cats were not good indoor cats. They came from a farm and were much happier and well-behaved when they spent most of their time outdoors.

Thank-you Victor C for the help. That helped a lot but now I can not recline back in my chair but will have to sit up and pay attention haha.

Sophie 7, The problem was on all pages so I took Victors suggestion and lowered the screen display size however it is a little harder on my eyes to read.
Thank -you both
