CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The GA governor suggested it strongly and most of 160ish districts did so until March 30th.

Just heard that all jury trials have been postponed for 30 days in my County. I'm sure my State will follow suit shortly if they have not already done so.
Quite frankly, they pack people in like sardines in non-jury courts as well, so I'm wondering how long non-jury trials will be allowed to continue?
Then there are our prisons, many of which use filtered, recycled air, rather than fresh air, so if one prisoner gets sick in a pod on one floor, many others end up getting sick all over the prison population (as the same air reaches all of the floors and all of the pods eventually).

For some "Cancon" (Canadian Content, for the Yanks)...
Alberta just closed down their schools; classes cancelled, teachers still come in tomorrow (likely to get updated as to expectations and how this is going to play out). What feels a little crazy to me is that classes are cancelled until the end of the year.
I will find out tomorrow (hopefully) what the school year looks like.
I was SHOCKED that they didn't shut it down on Friday. We were at 23 cases. In the last two days, we've gone up to 59. Soo....... there we are.
Manitoba and Ontario also both have their schools shut down. Several individuals schools in Quebec as well as BC.
