Sorry ... too tired to look for the original thread. Our little nine year old left this morning to go live in a treatment facility (for a year). She kept me on my toes the past two days, but she was good - she was nice to my son and they got along well. After she left I had myself a good cry.
I decline taking in a 7 year old boy because he had some serious issues which I felt were over my head - psychotic episodes, aggressive behaviour and he's on some strong meds (Zoloft for one). The caseworker said he supported my decision. Our son is just too young to deal with stuff like that.
However, we are taking in a teen mom and her one year old baby for a "respite" weekend ... this will be interesting to say the least. Need to set the crib back up. She's from Belize? I think ? and studying for her citizenship.
I'm exhausted ... mostly cause I had to pay "extra" attention to what was happening around me ... starting to realize how easy I have it with just the one son and he's able to entertain himself and listens well to our rules.
