I don't like the Black Sheep Dog moniker. It makes him sound a bit crazy imo.This is very confusing. I read the blog post then listened to the video. I tsound slike his words and what I'm hearing sounds as though he is accepting the outcome. Yet the video doesn't have his picture nor the website. I did see on the site it says the video was released on hsi facebook page as well as other places so it seems i tmust really be him. It's strange to hear him read from a piece of paper adn stumble at various parts as that isn't typical of his preaching style. I tdoes sound like his voice though. Anyway, as I said it was abit confusing but I do think it's him.
It just seems he isn't interested in waiting around to find out the outcome rather he intends to go out into the world in a new way and spread the Good news. It's really tough to say exactly what his intentions are but I know I got goosebumps reading his statement. It's sad that he is leaving the priesthood but it seems he's not about to let some lies hold him back from preaching the Good news to the world. I pray that he is doing all things in good faith and prayer and that he truly does have good intentions in mind. He may be able to reach more folks in this new manner than he could on EWTN or atleast folks that need to hear his message more than Catholics.
The thing that really bothers me as an artist though is his whole website theme. To me and I'm sure to many others it just seems so dark and menacing. I'm also not sure i entirely grasp the concept of "the Black Sheep Dog" I get the role of a sheppdog adn I understand why folks might thinkof him as the black sheep but the theme seems to have too much negative connotations attached to it. The theme of his site and the idea fo a black sheep dog remind me too much of a wolf and the whole idea of a wolf dressed in sheeps clothing. ANyway. I think it's clever and I do hope he is able to bring lots of good out of abad situation. Just my rambeling thoughts.

Yea, I noticed that too. I am surprised. I never would have never pegged him to be one to over react and I now think thats exactly what he has done.He eludes to what I said in a thread when this all started. It does not sound like they have investigators investigating

I just read at another site that according to penal law in the Church he has opportunity to have recourse to the Holy See and he could win his case. It was also stated that there is a huge gray area in the Church now regarding priests & administrative leave. It cannot be permanant but only last till the trial ends.
I'm just saddened by the whole situation. Corapi being Corapi does not affect me faithwise at all. I just find it all very sad. I don't know the story so I'm trying to remain neutral.
He has done a lot of good when he was a priest. There is no denying that. I'm just wondering what his plan is now exactly.... will he still preach Catholicism or is he going to go all political on us with a dash of religion thrown in?

Well I don't think anyone can say with certainty that he is guilty or did not live accordingly as a priest. Nothing has been proven either way.What bothers me Michie, is that many Catholics looked up to him as a role model and that he has not lived up to that. I tend to hold those that are in leadership to a higher level.
I actually think he sounds more depressed in his announcement than "arrogant" or anything like it.

It seems to me he has grown frustrated by the process & lost patience. This is the first thing I have seen from him where he seems to be actually doing something wrong that we know of.
As far as Catholics looking up to him to the point of leaving the Faith for him... it happens in all Churches & it's sad. But it is disordered.

The guy has had a past, he's had issues & his reaction to me, seems more out of depression & feeling under appreciated by the Church He served.
I could be totally wrong. I admit, his reaction with his new name for himself does not look good.
