“The group that was trying to rent the space did not disclose the nature of the event when doing so. Once it became known, it was canceled,” a spokesman told The Pillar.
“Improv for Kinky People” continues to sell tickets and advertise the event’s location as the Sheen Center, The Pillar has confirmed, and ticket holders have not yet received notice of cancelation.

Add another to the list of awful things slipping by the nets of that Archdiocese, luckily they still caught it in time to cancel it before it happened but the fact remains it was advertised and promoted so people out there forged the association between the Church and deviant things like this.
Even though the event didn't/won't happen, I'll still count it among the list of scandalous things that have happened to and within the Archdiocese of NY cause it still had an effect.
