Upcoming Lent

Hey Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone is getting the feeling that this Lent is going to be significant or special somehow? I've felt for the better part of 6 months that God is calling me to something special this Lent. Having spoken to a couple of my friends, they have also felt a stronger-than-usual pull toward the Lord lately. I feel like something big is coming.....maybe not physically, but spiritually. Anyone else feel that way?

I have felt the same way. I have a feeling that the Passion movie is part of this. The timing is perfect - Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent. I think a lot of people are going to seriously start re-examining their lives after seeing the movie. I can sense it in my own life - its going to happen to me.

I feel that way too infact, it's funny because I just felt the pull back to the church recently. The pull was really strong and I was like "whats going on here?"

A lot of what you said in combination with the things THEY said made me realize that I wanted to come back to my church

I have never been this interested in Lent in my life! This year I am really serious about it and I do think that something wonderful will happen this year. I do think it has alot to do with The Passion.

YaY Ash Wednesday is that day! I have tickets already...

I am definitely going to be more serious about Lent as well. I used to be real good about when I was little....and I am glad I am returning to that attitude.

Oddly, I have felt that way, too-- and as Christy spoke of- God really led me here and truly any time I have a question it gets answered here-- often without me being the one asking! He is sooo Goood! Let's be raging in the inferno of His Sacred Heart!!!

Yep, the Church has gone through its crucible the last few years, and the springtime of the Church is awaiting us. Hold on everybody, it is going to be one heck of a ride.
