• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Above my head moonlight fades to dust
I feel cold starlight coarsely kiss my cheek
The smoke rises to deepen my somber days
Once more I must watch the sour night weep

The dark slowly flutters before my eyes
I hear the whisper of brooding dawn call
My heart sinks beyond the recognition of hope
In my mind I wonder if I really have to fall

The ink from my pen sinks through the paper
The words leak out from the drunken spill
Tears from my heart ache towards the sky
I open the bottle for another pill

Once again my hope will never be restored
Once again I realize there is something to fear
Once again the pain in my chest is taking over
Once again my mind will never be clear

Here I sit alone with a deadened heart’s sigh
I stare into space wanting another chance
But never will I see the awakening of life
For I’m forever caught in woe’s brutal dance

I like it. The wording is cryptic and deep. The symbolism seems to flow as well. If you are like me, naming a work is every bit as hard as writing it. I'm still not very good at doing it for my own works, but perhaps I may benefit yours.
When I finished your poem, the one word that came to me was 'Gravity'. I've tried to come up with something better, but it seems to fit. I may be off, but I hope I've helped.
Go with God.

How about "spun gravity"? like spun silk, but it's gravitiy...you knew that, lol. Anyway, I like it. it's not my style exactly, but you're not me, and I recognise that it's good anyway. Keep up the good work...but try not to be so depressed in real life!

You know, Flower, I may just have to marry you. You're the only girl I've ever met that's not only known of, but liked Melfina's song. I sing it to myself all the time. What are the odds.

Lol, I love the song. :D Sometimes I like to play it on my acoustic, I love to sing it too... I'm surprised someone actually recognized it. That is amazing, hehe. :)
