The sun directed its honey tones into the bedroom of 23 year old Katie Chisler. Reluctantly opening her eyes, she caught a bright glimpse of her gold satin drapes, and blinds. The bright color shocked her sleepy eyes, and her head began to spin with the thought of what day it was. Releasing a heavy sigh, she pushed the warm covers off of her legs, and began to prepare. Standing on her blue tweed rug, she groggily examined the clock. it's bright numbers read: 7:45 am. Scrambling into high gear, she showered, did her make up, and pulled a pair of jeans, over her slender frame. Pulling her closet open a little more, she caught eye of a black and gold top. Pulling it over her head, she began her descent down the stairs,searching for her car keys, and double checking the calander before heading off down the road. About 15 minutes later, she arrived at her parents house. She sat for a moment, just admiring her childhood home. She had always loved the little bench swing in the front yard. The victorian feel and look of the house, and the little well that was frail, but still holding in there, at the very edge of the backyard. But she was grown-up now. It was time to move onto other things, other homes, and a soulmate. She pressed the button on her car remote, which gave a secure 'Click'. Opening the door to her parents house, she saw her Mom and Dad were at the table, drinking their morning tea. 'Hey guys' Katie said, walking over to each of her parents, and giving them both hugs. 'Katie, I have those invinations you ordered. They came yesterday. There are about 5 packs to choose from' Her mother said. ' Oh okay' Do they have those little blue ones I liked online?' katie placed the car keys on the table and bit into an apple. 'Yes dear. The arrived seperately just this morning' Her mother said looking up and giving a warm smile. Katie met her Dads eyes and he grinned. ' Excited about the big day?' Katie threw the apple core away and crossed her arms over her chest. 'Well.. sorta. I'm kinda still stressed out from all the details that I had to take care of, but picking out the dress should be fun-. Just then, the phone rang. 'I got it' Katie picked up the phone. 'Hello?' she asked. ' oh hey Christy. yep. yeah..' She nodded a few times in between 'mmhhhms' and ' sures' before hanging up with a matter of fact ' later'.
