Back to the topic of this thread. With New Jersey still in the Process of counting votes I think it’s a clear in the Quetion of how fractured the Democratic Party has become.

I actually agree with vice president Harris that this is a referendum on the current administration and I think it doesn’t bode well for them in the future.

Which is exactly the message the American people are sending them

It's not just Democrat, Some Republican voters don't want unity at all . They want to do their rules only and force it on every one .They let people on the Fox news channel and other right links to lie to them. This have been proven by the way they acted over Biden being elected. Trying to over throw and election. And a Democrat, I want Christians out of my business. But they feel it's their right. When it's not.

Sure they want a leader. What they don't want is a dictator. We've seen again and again what happens when political parties demand uniformity.

IF you have a 2 party system and you expect "party unity" you are sooooooooo dumb.

If you had 6 parties, then unity seems a bit more likely.

Notwithstanding that each senator is elected by his or her constituents to represent them.

You'd need to pretty uninformed to not know how a sausage is made. It's not credible to then express shock and horror when you see the actual process. How on earth do some people think deals are done in politics? To think that bargaining only happens between any given administration and the opposition is political naivity in the extreme.

It was tricky for the Republicans too when they were in control of house, senate and white house.
The two party system is a bit odd really. To assume all on the left would agree on all things, or that all on the right would agree on all things.

USA would be better to have a multi party system like MMP, where you can have a centre left party, a centre right party, a far left, a far right, a religious party, an African american party, an indigenous Indian party etc, they each have a platform, they get their votes counted and have a proportionate representation in government, they create a coalition govt by negotiating to support each other on a combined platform....
