  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Here is a prayer I wrote for my girlfriend and myself when I truly committed myself to her.

PRAYER OF UNITY
Written by Luke Wyatt
1-20-05

1~ In Jesus' name, we assert this unity under our father in heaven. For hallowed be your name. Your will has blessed us in more ways than possible to count.

2~ And with gratitude, we will devote our lives under you, to merit and love one another until the end has come.

3~ While sin and temptation remain in this world, we beg of you to guide us, to protect us, to deliver us from the evil one.

4~ And times of choice might approach, and we ask during these, we will prevail and this endurance you have blessed us with will strengthen and fortify this relationship.

5~ With praise, our lord, we glorify your name. For not even eternal admiration is enough to repay you for our savior. And again, holy one, we assert this unity under your name.

~Amen
