Greetings, all. I just joined this site yesterday, and am only miffed that I found it so late.
I will be going to college to be a writer soon and thought that I should post part of my manuscript here. The problem is, that I'm afraid that some may find it... offensive. The subject matter can be violent, but never pornographically so. That's the way I feel, in any case. The fact of the matter is that I've never had very many people read it, so these are simply concerns, but I would like to hear from my intended audience.

That one is hard to say, since "violent" could mean a lot of things, and what may be offensive to some may be okay to others. I would just say, keep in mind that there may be younger readers on here.

If your manuscript is lengthy, or you are considering publication at some point, you may be interested in joining our critique group. We're going to be doing this via email, so that we don't have to worry about the sketchy issue of whether having your material posted on a public forum constitutes "publication" and impedes your ability to get it truly published in the future.
