This seems to be a topic in many theads. Because so and so did this, there must not be any truth to it. So we see a man and not Jesus. I think this is spirituality unhealthy. Do you think that you are the only one that's had bad times in the church? Look to Jesus my friends "He came to His owen and they did not know Him". In fact they had him put on a tree. I do not see any of us bleeding. Forgivest (and I'm peaching to myself) should be frist on are list.

I don't understand the question.
Not a question but and exhortation. Our hearts must be free of unforgiveness or else our Father cannot forgive us. It is as though our prayers go no higher than our head. Jesus in His example of unforgiveness when ask how many times we are to forgive, 7 times in a day? He replied and said that we should forgive 70 times 7. Not that we are to count to 490, but implying that our forgiveness should be unceasing no matter the sin against us or no matter how many times it is committed against us.

I thank you Father that because of your Spirit that dwells within me conviction rises up within me when I harbor unforgivness within my heart so that I may forgive those who sin against me and so that I may repent of harboring it so that my relationship with you may remain strong and unsevered.

hi, i was wondering...

is it that He cannot forgive us, or that He WILL not forgive us... i mean the God of the universe CAN do anything... i mean He made the rules, if we dont forgive others, He wont forgive us, and He cannot/will not go against himself...

what are your thoughts?

I think it is both, he won't forgive unconfessed sin. He can't go against his own rules. God is so far above us, and his ways are beyond finding out. I always have a sense that when we get to heaven there is going to be a time when we will see what we could have had should have had, and would have had if only! Paul said right now we see through a glass darkly. Our vision is infinitesimal. in a world that is finite, God is infinite in a kingdom that is infinite! What is man that thou art mindful of him!

Hey great.
Only yesterday I read that parable of the slave that was owed his master money in matthew.. :)
I think it's the first time I read it and understood the implication. I closed the bible just there and started to forgive everybody and everything for the last 20 years of my life :)

There are Spiritual laws just as there are natural laws. Even God Himself who created these natural laws will not violate them. It is a Spiritual law that one must be born again to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Now God has left us with the choice of eternal life or eternal death. He will not force His will upon us and we know that He wants that none should perish. Now He could easily have His Spirit move within us so that we would receive salvation but He will not violate His own law (free will/choice). So in this He cannot go against Himself.

In my previous post, because of His "will not" He has placed Himself in a position of "cannot".

I posted this because the spirit told me many in this forum have been hurt by men in the church. And now attack things of God, because of the foolish of men. Satan could not get them outside the church to fall, so he used the ego of men in the church to do his work. We must put this too on the cross.
I have to agree with you, there is a saying in our church we are the only army in the world that kills it's wounded.
