While we are here....stop promoting the Doctrine of the Demon...because you will only acomplish 2 Goals with the Doctrine of Eternal Torment....and those 2 goals are Satans.

1. You might scare a couple of people into being self righteouse, and boasting before God that they saved themselves via an act of their own Free Will.
(they miss out on the first ressurection, and do not reign with Christ over Satan, while he is shut up in the pit for a thousand years)

2, You will put most people off wanting to know about God at all, because they are tired of hearing from self righteouse hypocrites (Christians)

If instead you where to actualy...study...the word of God more closely for your self, you will discover long before you get around to reading 1 Timothy 4 that the doctrine of Eternal Torment is a lie....

He is God, and there is no other. He has sworn by Himself, the word has gone forth from His mouth in righteousness and will not turn back, that to Him every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance (Isaiah 45:22,23).

You are forgiven.....heed the word of God, not what you are taught by men.
What is this Doctrine of Eternal Torment? Also, what is its connection with Isaiah 45:22-3 and how does this verse disprove it?

Whether they can or not, they can certainly be cruelly tricked into thinking they have, and scathingly, abusively haunted by the terror of that thought, and Hebrews 6:4-6 bes just one of a few misused texts employed for this purpose. These texts in the hands of an accusatory spirit (human or non-corporeal) can be as volatile and deadly as mercury fulminate to the soul, and the one shattered by them will never be whole again.
very true, I will agree with that. Which is why we need to study all of scripture and not get confused by one verse in hebrews.

The Doctrine of Eternal Torment is what the Main Stream Church teaches....

Their theology is that if you do not believe in God and Christ, or if you reject them that you burn forever in a Lake of Fire that never goes out...

It is a lie of course.....prooven to be a lie by Rev 22.3 I discovered only just yesterday.....even though plenty of other scripture, is indicateve that the doctrine of eternal torment is a lie rev 22.3 should be sufficent.

To anybody that knows how to rightly divide the word of God that is....

When I see some one take the word of God and twist it to fit there own doctrine makes my heart weep. Peter warn there would be times like this, but the truth is that there has been a lot of twisting the words of God even a peter lived.

The un for give able sin is rejecting salvation. Salvation is excepting Jesus Christ work on the cross and an you recive the Holy Spirit with in you. rejection of Christ is then rejection of the SPIRIT.

You can use all kinds of words, but hell is for ever as is heaven and the rule of Christ on earth is 1000 years. The end God makes a new earth which will last as long He wants.

I really don't want to offend anyone here on their thoughts on God's word, but these are my thoughts after only 35yrs of study
I am not here to change any ones mind, my opinion is just that.

Rejection of Salvation is not possible....by any being.

Teaching that anybody can reject Salvation, is the Lie.
You may have studied the word for 35 years, that is in no way any qualification to say you found life in them...

Unless God does the revealing.....you see nothing in the word except what men teach.

Go back to 1 Timothy 2....and try again.

Your point is? You are saying that it is impossible to reject salvation?
I have never heard anyone on this board say something so foolish. Where do you come up this and it not in I Tim

Yes, rightly dividing the Word of God is very important here, because as we see the Judgement Seats have already happened and those who have rejected the Lord are already cast into the Lake of Fire with the devil and his angels.

Rev. 21:1-8
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

God desires that all men be saved, but as we look at the whole Bible, we see how narrow is the way and few will enter in.

1 Tim. 2:1-7
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,
7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Isaiah 45:22-24
22 "Turn to me and be saved,
all you ends of the earth;
for I am God, and there is no other.

23 By myself I have sworn,
my mouth has uttered in all integrity
a word that will not be revoked:
Before me every knee will bow;
by me every tongue will swear. 24 They will say of me, 'In the LORD alone
are righteousness and strength.' "
All who have raged against him
will come to him and be put to shame.

You can't use that verse for UR. It just says that all will bow and confess He is Lord. Then it says all who are against Him will be put to shame. Also, since Satan and the demons will bow to Him -- and they will not be saved -- why does that verse make you think that all will be saved?

I can assure you....there is no full fillment for me in arguing with the sons of stubborness.

God is the one who shuts up all in disobedience...he hardens whom he desires and shows mercy to whom he desires......I speak so those who are meant to hear...do get to hear.

The word of God which goes forth from His mouth; It shall not return to Him empty, without accomplishing what He desires, and without succeeding in the matter for which He sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

Those hardened for destruction are of no consequence to me....it is the Lord who hardens them....does anybody really believe I could keep them from what the Lord predestines for them ?

They are no more lost to God.....than Saul of Tarsus was....5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,

To be testified in due time......

I am speaking and posting from the entrance way at the narrow gate.....for those who are meant to hear....and for no other reason.

I completely agree with you! (not that my opinion counts..lol)

God has chosen whom he will save and not.

The only way someone will know their condition is if the Holy Spirit reveals it to them..and in doing so a person does not reject it.

When the Holy Spirit reveals a persons sinful condition it wouldnt be possible to reject God at that point.

Thats like saying your whole family would refuse a life raft in the middle of an ocean with sharks all around. have you ever heard of someone rejecting that life raft?

God is the life raft..and once you realize that thru the Holy Spirit it is impossible to reject.

Well said!

Plus:
28: Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

29: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: (King James Version)

Now, THAT sounds familiar, doesn't it? How about:

28: Verily, I say unto you All things shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, the sins and the profanities wherewithal they shall profane;

29: But, whosoever shall revile against the Holy Spirit, hath no forgiveness, unto times age-abiding, but is guilty of an age-abiding sin: (Rotherham)

What??? Who said that?

So,,, could it be that the unforgiveness spoken of will only last for a two distinct time periods — this age and the age to come?

Why is Christiandom so quick to embrace 'unpardonable sin' doctrine based on one passage? Especially when we are taught in many many places to ALWAYS forgive? Does God have lower standards for Himself?

The tragedy here is that through the ages Satan has tormented many a mind with this concept that they may have committed a sin which cannot be repented of/forgiven. If this were were true then John should have said "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world - except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit"

And "Who is the propitiation not only for our sins - except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, but also for the sins of the whole world - except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit".

And "God has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all -
all iniquity except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit that is"

And "By His stripes we are healed - unless we have blasphemed the Holy Spirit"

blessings,
- Byron

PS: The word “aion” is used in the Greek text of the 'hath never forgiveness" passage, but is left out by the King James translators altogether. Was this a simple error, or did they understand that the word “aion” would put a limit on this unforgiveness, which would contradict their belief in never-ending punishment? This verse could/should be translated, “….hath no forgiveness unto times age-abiding” (Young's Literal Translation).
