Is there anything I can do that would absolutely prevent me from entering Heaven, even if I became a believer? I've heard that blasphemy (real blasphemy denying God, not just using the Lord's name in vain) makes heaven impossible. Is that true? Is there anything else I can do right now that would forever and irrevocably put me off God's guest list?

There is only one "unpardonable sin" - blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which means rejecting Christ and living in a state of unbelief, and it's only "unpardonable" if one dies in that state. As a non-believer, a person is not covered by Christ, and so can not be saved. However, if someone converts and accepts Christ, they are no longer committing that sin, and are covered by Christ, and can then be forgiven any sin.

But is there anything I can do right now that will hold over even if I convert to Christianity? Like, if a guy dings my car then later wants to be friends, I can probably forgive the car thing and share a meal. But if a guy murders my wife, I don't care how nice he is to me later, he's not going to be coming over for dinner. Ever. Are there any such unforgivable (unforgivable no matter what may come) sins against God?

Yes. You could stay from God and lose your first love. Just because one becomes saved that doesn't mean they can't go to hell and be removed from the Lamb's book of Life. When a person becomes saved, they must abide in Christ and Christ in them, always. Meaning pick up your cross and follow Jesus. Many people get saved and do nothing for God. They don't study his word, go to church, have fellowship with other Christians. While they may still be saved (cause a person can only get saved once) that doesn't mean they do not have a part to do. People become lazy and do not want to do for Christ. They are set in their ways and are just satisified their walk with God. Meaning when a person becomes lazy, they lost their zeal for Christ. And eventually will backslide and if they come back to Christ, they have to repent and do their first works over.
If someone denys God, there is no way they can enter into heaven.
Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is one sin that can't be forgiven in this world or the world to come. blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is when someone says that the works of God are from Satan instead of God.

Lose my first love? What does my wife have to do with anything?

But say in the future I become a faithful, obedient, loyal, true follower of Christ. Is there anything I could do now that would make it so that no matter how truly Christian I become, I would be kept out of heaven?

blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is when someone says that the works of God are from Satan instead of God.

So only believers can blaspheme?

Sin will keep someone out of heaven. I'll use your example, if someone does murder your wife, even though you want justice, you still have to forgive that person. Christ says if you have an ought (grudge) against anyone and you do not forgive them, he will not forgive you. Mark 11:25-26.

All sins can be forgiven...if one asks God to forgive them. When a person sins they must repent over that sin and ask God to forgive them. If not, then it is unrepented sins and they aren't forgiven because that person didn't ask. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness".
Job tells us to ask God to search our heart to see if anything (sins) be hidden. If so, then bring those sins to the surface so we can repent and ask for forgiveness.

Your first love is not your wife. It is Jesus Christ.
Jesus tells the backsliders in Rev 2:4, "I have somewhat against thee, because thou has lost thy first love". Your wife has nothing to do with you serving Christ.

The only thing you can do to be kept out of heaven is rejecting Christ, and not repenting of your sins and asking God to forgive you.

Anyone can blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. In Matthew 12:32 it says whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of Man, (Jesus) it shall be forgiven him. but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world or the world to come.
When Jesus was in his human form, many thought that he blaphemy against God (Holy Ghost). Because he said he was the true Son of God.
Peter blasphemy against Jesus, by rejecting the fact that he was one of Christ's disciples. Jesus knew that Peter would, but after Peter denied Jesus three times, he was convicted and repented.

The only thing to ever keep you from Heaven is to deny Jesus Christ. He is the only way to heaven and once you have accepted Jesus Christ then you would be able to forgive easily and love those around you and so much more, but without Jesus these things mean nothing.

I never loved Christ. I am not a backslider. My wife is my first (and, outside of family, only) love.

So there's nothing I can do now to ensure I am kept out? If one day I accept and repent and ask forgiveness, I get in no matter what?

Anyone can blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.

But you said something about blasphemy involving attributing God's works to Satan. I don't believe in Satan any more than I believe in God, so I don't attribute any works to him. In order to attribute works to Satan, one must believe in him. So only those who believe in Satan (generally Christians) can blaspheme.

If you don't love Christ, then you'll not make into heaven. So if you don't love Christ, then why worry about all the sins you commit?

If God convicts you of your sins, and you repent and ask God to fogive you, then yes you will go to heaven. but if God doesn't convict you of your sins, you don't think to repent.

By you admitting you don't believe in God, then don't worry about the sins you commit. Cause there is no point in you repenting, cause your a sinner. And with you being a sinner, your rejecting Christ, so therefore you will not enter in heaven.

What is keeping you from accepting Christ? It is obvious that he is conivicting you of your sins, or otherwise you wouldn't have so many questions about hell.

A sure way to keep out of heaven, is to continue on the road you're on now. Because no matter how good of a person you are, not believing in God is the main reason why alot are on their way to hell.

Why so many questions about heaven and hell if you don't believe in God?

I'm not worried, just curious. And frankly, I'm not asking if there is an "ultimate" sin so that I can avoid it; I'm asking so that I can do it and thereby prevent people like yourself urge me to convert.

What is keeping you from accepting Christ?

The preposterous notion that he is Christ and that there is a god.

It is obvious that he is conivicting you of your sins, or otherwise you wouldn't have so many questions about hell.

I am not worried about sin, nor hell. It's honest curiousity.

Curiousity. To know things. The same reason I ask my wife about Star Trek (she's a bit of a Trekkie). I don't believe in the USS Enterprise, but that doesn't mean I can't learn about it.

Then don't do nothing at all. Just live your life they way you want to live it. Don't worry about what I say, this person says, or what God himself says. Because by rejecting Christ is a sure way to go to hell. And believe me there is a hell. There is no in between. You have to go somewhere and if your against God, that somewhere is hell.

Why don't you try God? If you don't like it, the Devil will always take you back with open arms of course.

It is your choice, no one can make you become a Christian. I can't and I won't. because without the conviction of the Holy Ghost, you couldn't become saved to start with.

Is there anymore questions that you are curious to know?

That's the thing, I don't believe you. Not because I don't want to or anything, but because I can't.

There is no in between. You have to go somewhere and if your against God, that somewhere is hell.

None of us goes anywhere.

Why don't you try God?

Why don't you try Genesh? Why don't you try being an atheist? Surely your loving god will take you back if you don't like it.

I can't try God. It's not that I don't like the idea of God; heck, it'd be great if it were true. I'm not a little kid refusing to eat his veggies and mom says "Just try the broccoli, you might like it!" What you're trying to do is get me to eat broccoli when there is no broccoli.

If you don't like it, the Devil will always take you back with open arms of course.

The Devil is no more real than God. So I am not with the Devil now, and he cannot take me back.

Not a very good plan, but millions of people do it everyday, even the ones who claim to be christians.

No, you can believe the word of God, if you chose to, but your to stubbron to believe. It isn't that you can't, it is just that you won't.

This is where I don't believe you. We all go somewhere, either heaven or hell. That is the only two choices. No one lives forever on this earth. For it will be destroyed by fire after Jesus comes back.

I believe too much in God to become an Atheist. I have no idea what Genesh is, so that is out of the question.
There is no guarantee that God will take me back. It is possible since I have tasted the good word of Christ, and have known him on a personal level, that he can turn me into a reprobate mind. And then there is no turning back, no matter how bad I beg and plead to God. He will turn a deaf ear to me, like the word says.

I can't make you believe in God. Only God can show you that he is real. but it is up to you if you want your eyes to be opened. If your still curious, why not ask him? Apparently you have a small amount of faith that God exists or otherwise you wouldn't have so many questions about him and heaven and hell.

Since your not one of God's children's, and there is only one enmey against God, and that is Satan. So if your not for God your agaisnt him, on the Devils side. It is hard to believe that the Devil (who went by the name of Lucifier at the time) was one of the most beautiful angel there was. He got a bright idea to take over God's throne, so he and Gabriel the archangel fought and God banned the Devil from heaven. Don't take my word for it, but Satan has more power over you than you think. Guess who is playing tricks with your mind, so you won't believe in God? Yep, Satan is. And God is putting little thoughts in your head, letting you think, if there is a God and that is why your so curious.

I don't claim to have all the answers, no one does, except Christ. But if don't have an answer for you, I will help you find an answer, and we can learn together.

God bless.

In an odd way.. Yes... but... in some ways.. not really...
