Hi Barry, I'll pray that you land the job. I do have some stuff I would like you to think about.

I was laid off from a large construction company that downsized back in 08. I collected about 101 weeks of unemployment and since then I've never been able to land another job with the same title. I've lost very much as well but it doesn't matter what I've lost, what matters is what is still yet to gain.

I personally feel that people, if they don't already, need to start to realize that America isn't ever going to go back to the way it has been for the past 20-30 years or so. I ran across an interesting article about a week ago titled "Fading optimism in new normal America" I think you and who ever else should read. I would post the link but my post count isn't high enough on this forum yet to do so. Just Google that and you should be able to find it.

One thing that I have been forced to deal with and accept is that my job will probably never come back any time soon and it's a slim to none chance that I will be picked for the ones that are.
I suggest rethinking your current lifestyle if you have the option to go back to school for something new then do it. Think about it 10 months of collecting UE, you would already have or just about have a certificate in a new in demand job field. Oh and by the way, Grants and student loans= more money then UE.

If things get bad enough for you don't do nothing and just let your life fall apart..if you can cook I'm sure you can do it on a smaller scale for a lot less money or even wash dishes if you had to.

During times like these the people that are being affected by this economy need to start to realize it isn't going to get any better any time soon.If it means giving up a lifestyle for one that is less attractive, just do it now and get it over with and try to work your way back up. This is what I've been having to do. I personally went from a 65k yr condo in downtown Dc to working as a dishwasher making min wage. But I have something new to strive on now that I didn't have before.I know I can get the life I want back but if it wasn't for the fact that I had to accept what i was doing was pointless I wouldn't be on the track that I am today.

Good luck and God bless your sir.

Heavenly Father, please have mercy for this man for he's in need of a job to get by. I'm humbly asking for your guidance and may you land him on a job that will make use of the ability that you have given into him. Let Your will always be done.. In the name of the Holy spirit I pray,, Amen.
