  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My argument and contention is with the evolutionary view that all of life we observe today is attributable to only one allowable impetus.

See? I knew it was a waste of time to explain it again. I was clear enough imo. Yet, here you are again... spreading the same falsehoods and lies as if I didn't say anything at all.

Come up with evidence that only naturalistic mechanisms are capable of producing the incomprehensible complexity and variety of life we observe today and the challenge to Godless creationism will cease.

I don't need to provide evidence for claims that I'm not making.

yawn.

No, I don't personally embrace creation of all life through theistic evolution, but if that's one's understanding of how God created humanity, I wouldn't actively argue against it. For me personally, the important thing is to recognize that we would not exist without God creating us in His likeness.

Yep, that is indeed the core of your intellectually bankrupt ideals. Anything goes, as long as you can reconcile it with your a priori religious beliefs.

If evidence is uncovered that goes against your religious views, then in your little bubble of make-belief, the only possible explanation is that the evidence is wrong.

The intellectually dishonesty and total lack of dignity, self-respect and integrity is mindblowing.

No, I'm asking a question. How do you account for the pattern of ERV insertions in the primates?

They could have been programed in (spoken) just like man does all the time on computers. There is more evidence coming out that ERV are not "Junk DNA" as some once thought. Living cells has layers on top of layers of information which scientist are just beginning to understand.

Back to ya!

I explained in detail why atheistic Darwinist creationism is a creationist view which created humanity, and all life, only by random, mindless, meaningless, purposeless and goalless naturalistic mechanisms acting on a single life form of long long ago. You're simply not wishing to understand.

I don't need to provide evidence for claims that I'm not making.

yawn.

Make a claim that humanity is the product of anything but only naturalistic mechanisms. Give an example of something other than only naturalistic mechanisms. Find an impetus which created all life other than only naturalistic mechanism.

Post it here.

God as creator is an intellectually bankrupt ideal?

What evidence?

The intellectually dishonesty and total lack of dignity, self-respect and integrity is mindblowing.

You're just a typical rabid unbeliever who is controlled by the antichrist spirit and will mock and ridicule, attack and disparage Christ as creator every chance you get. You're upset that your rants aren't working.

You probably wish to actually make a point, have some sort of conclusion by the pattern of ERV insertions in the primates. So far, you've not revealed your point, your conclusion.

Evolution is the religion of the Humanists. It is not fact but is a Theory. Read Genesis and the true meaning of the word void as describing the Earth. You may get some enlightenment, I hope from study.
Someone has been telling you lies.

I don't completely understand how my computer does what it does. Must be a God.

Fun:The Church of Google - RationalWiki

In the words of the church
Google is the closest thing to an omniscient entity
Google is omnipresent.
Google answers prayers.
Google is potentially immortal.
Google is infinite.
Google remembers all.
Google can "do no evil" (omnibenevolent).
According to Google trends, the term "Google" is searched for more than the terms "God", "Jesus", "Allah", "Buddha", "Christianity", "Islam", "Buddhism" and "Judaism" combined.
Evidence of Google's existence is abundant.

A few posts ago, you made the bold claim that no evidence exists to demonstrate that humans were the result of evolutionary processes.

That being said, how do you account for the pattern of ERV insertions in humans and other primates?

Quote me.

There's absolutely no evidence, not even the wisp of a gob, that only naturalistic mechanisms created humanity from an alleged single life form of long long ago. If you have such evidence, post it.

Actually make a point.

You say there's no evidence. So please explain the pattern of ERV insertions.

No there isn't. You just stated that hopefully, without regard to actual evidence in actual articles.

I do remember a few papers mention in the book The Myth of Junk DNA where they found ERV preform useful functions. One had something to do with our blood. Evolutionist are the ones who jump the gun with ERV assume they were junk. It was they last hope that our DNA is the result of a purposeless, random act of evolution.

ENCODE project has had a lot of resistance from the evolutionist who wanted most of our DNA to be junk. Their religious faith in evolution is more important that discovering the truth about the functions of our DNA.

You say there's no evidence. So please explain the pattern of ERV insertions.

ERV's tend to insert into regions that are best suited to them. Assuming
similar insertion sites to mean that they are there through inheritance is
jumping to conclusions.

ERVs insert pretty much randomly. They don't have to be anywhere particularly advantageous, just somewhere where they (if they were functional retroviral RNA) would be used by the cell to generate new virons. The surrounding DNA is, by and large, not that relevant to their purpose. Sometimes, when they mutate to not produce new virons and become ERVs, they might be advantageous to the host cell. Out of the many that have occurred in the history of life on Earth, there are almost definitely going to be a few that serve that purpose. Other than those few, though, they're mostly just non-coding strands of nucleic acid that get passed on randomly because they aren't harmful.
