I disagree....Israel handed back both the Machpelah Cave and the Temple Mount on it's very own in an attempt to appease the Arabs. Sure worked
out well. If Israel had a spine, and believed in G-d and Torah, it would do
what it needs to do and forget pressure from the US and the world.
Obama is not friend of Israel, and I can't stand him....but for this I don't
put all the blame on him.

Well...if President Obama really believed in G-d and the Bible that he supposedly reads (and also assuming he's not really a closet Muslim or a Wahhabi sympathizer), he would not put pressure on Israel to give up any of that land now, would he? Plus, his party and its Liberal and secularist demographic, whom as far as I am concerned are wingpeople for Satan (or should I say the evil inclination?), are clearly exerting their deleterious influence on our President's domestic and foreign policies, and they are for the Palestinians, by and large...

Of course he wouldn't pressure Israel...but he is a liberal and obviously interprets the Bible in a liberal way. A lot of Christians do not support Israel
:(

Unfortunately, plenty of liberal Christians do not support Israel....but they
certainly support the Pally's and divestmentfrom Israel.

I hurt that this is happening to Israel, ChavaK. I am so sorry. :( We have to keep in mind that this is not a funeral, but it is definitely a major setback for Israel and the rights of the Jewish people to the homeland G-d gave them. I cannot help but feel that we Americans who fear G-d maybe did not fight with you hard enough and well enough, did not fight for G-d's Law hard enough and well enough and take care of things at home well enough and we ended up with our last two presidents and the wicked, secularist foreign and domestic policies they and secular people implemented and are trying to implement at all levels of government, plus the economic mess we are in. I consider also that we may also may be in the process of being chastised by G-d. When I read Deuteronomy 28, I see a lot of things therein that strongly resemble our current political, economic and moral situation and frankly I am dubious about America's future. Deuteronomy 28:24 is particularly disturbing. That could literally happen here (Yellowstone and Marie's disease)!

The one other thought I have to ask you and other Jews to consider is how well do you think Israel is doing with keeping Torah in the land? If I recall my past readings correctly, Israel's presence in the land G-d gave them has always been contingent on keeping Torah within it. Please understand that I am not trying to be judgemental in asking this. I don't have that right. I am just trying to be helpful in this case.

G-d bless you, sister, and may G-d bless and keep Israel... :)

Genesis 28:15
I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Many people have argued that it is righteousness that gives them rights, but God declared it was the more unrighteous of the other party that made the choice and in the same way, Israel today will be victorious not because they are more righteous but because the other party is more unrighteous.

Deuteronomy 9:4
Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.

I think for the sake of my own sanity I need to stop worrying about Israel. It's in God's hands. He will take care of things. I should exercise more faith in His sovereign knowledge and will. Any serious reading of the Tanach will soon reveal that it isn't always roses and Chardonnay there, and the fate of the nation is always predicated on the behaviour of its occupants.

Just pray, and let God work out the details.
