Just been sent this. It relates primarily to those in the UK - but what are our governments going to do about it?
UN to vote on a Palestinian State
URGENT ACTION NEEDED -
Please give this initiative your full attention and top priority - thank you
"Evil men accomplish evil deeds when good men do nothing."
The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem has been approached and asked by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem to help the State of Israel with the upcoming vote on Palestinian Statehood at the UN General Assembly in September. The State of Israel considers this vote to be a serious threat to its international standing. It can cause more harm to Israel than the upcoming Durban conference and the Flotilla initiative combined.
When the United Nations holds its annual Opening Assembly in New York this September, the Palestinian Authority appears determined to seek a UN General Assembly resolution that would endorse a Palestinian State along the pre-1967 lines. This action now has the support of the Arab League, but PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas will first submit the proposal to the UN Security Council, where it could face a veto by the United States. The PA will likely also be pressing for a UN condemnation of Israeli "settlements" and a declaration that they are illegal under international law.
There is huge worldwide support for the establishment of a Palestinian State. The following website is just one of a number of initiatives to put pressure on Governments:

We therefore urgently ask you to lobby our government and political leaders so that the UK will NOT vote in support of a Palestinian State. Please make every effort to contact your MP in this regard. The people who have influence in this decision, whom you should approach, are:
1.) The Prime Minister - Mr David Cameron
2.) The Foreign Minister - William Hague MP
3.) The FO department head for the Middle East - Alistair Burt MP
4.) Your Member of Parliament (http://findyourmp.parliament.uk/)
Please write to and/or visit your MP at his/her constituency office and explain that Israel has legal rights to the whole land. Try and research the situation first - here are two very important resources that may help: http://vimeo.com/16094246 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGYxLWUKwWo&feature=youtu.be
In conjunction with this the ICEJ UK are supporting CMEW (Christian Middle East Watch) in their Parliamentary seminar for MP's entitled:
ARE THE PALESTINIANS READY FOR STATEHOOD?
on Tuesday 13th September, from 3-5pm in Committee Room 17, House of Commons, sponsored by David Burrowes MP. The speakers are Itamar Marcus of Palestinian Media Watch and Matthew Sinclair of the Tax Payers Alliance. PLEASE inform your MP of this and encourage them to attend. A PDF flyer invitation for MP's is available from info@cmew.org.ukor ljg@mail.com- This is not a public meeting but for MP's and invited guests. In that Palestinian statehood is a currant topic MP's should be strongly encouraged to attend.
As the pressure on Israel grows in the days to come it is important that we who see Israel's existence as God ordained, turn our words and prayers into action and not allow complacency creep into our lives. It's always a temptation to leave it to someone else to do - then seldom anything is accomplished. One is reminded of the final words of Keith Green's song 'The sheep and the goats' - the difference between the sheep and the goats was 'what they did and didn't do'. We are living in days when true lovers of God and His people Israel need to be active in prayer, seeking, waiting and doing. No one can over state the importance of prayer yet prayer should never be an excuse for inaction. There is a book about feeding the poor and entitled 'They can't eat prayer!' The God of Israel needs to be hearing our cries in the courts of heaven and the people of Israel need to be seeing our actions of love. The State of Israel has asked for assistance - we mustn't let them down at such a time as this. Please act swiftly and promptly as time is running out.
Please pass this around as wide as possible.
