  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I cant say that I have a very interesting testimony, but here I go.

I suppose one of the best things that God ever did for me before I came to him was get my Mom and Step Dad together when I was little. I had a horrible baby sitter before my dad came into mylife.

It was a group babysitting service so a bunch of kids where in one place, there was a few older kids that...well Im not even sure if they really did anymore because I barely remembered but they attempted to molest my brother and I. I never really told anyone because I can only remember 2 things and one of them I am not sure even truly happened. The one thing I remember for sure is that they tried to teach me and my brother how to have sex , we were in the car while the babysitters where inside getting stuff and they started trying. Luckily they got back before anything happened.

After my mom and step got together everything was pretty normal. In my later years however, I would cry sometimes before I slept because I kept thinking "What if there isnt a heaven or something, and I really end up as just a stick in the ground forever, I just can picture it!"

Then, in 6th grade, I met my friends Kennedi and Jojo (Both Christians) Jojo usually wouldnt sit with us at lunch so Kennedi would stay with me and talk about God. At first, she scared me. She was talking about how the world would end and how God wont take anyone who has doubt in him before the bad stuff happened. I got slightly worse.

The next year, she remembered what she had told me, she re-explained it a lot nicer and it sounded soo great. She told me how awesome and fun her church was, and I gladly excepted her invite to go with her. After I started going, I kept getting happier (And in many ways hyperer) and everything just turned out fine, now I am in 8th grade, Saved, Go to Church every Wed and Sun and loving it ^^

SO basically God just saved me from bad situations and gave me awesome friends to lead me to him, I will be with God for the rest of my life now ^^

That's very nice to read sister. I'm happy that God has done these things for you, and that you now believe in Jesus Christ.

I'm happy that you have good friends, and that you are attending church services twice weekly. I would encourage you to start reading the Bible a lot (if you haven't done so already). By reading the Bible, you'll both know more about God, and you'll learn how to live your life as a christian.

Just keep on going to church, pray to the Lord and be happy that you're His daughter. Jesus will help you getting through your hard times too, and He will guide you in your every day life, so that the people you meet will be touched by His power. :)
