Hello this is new for me but my names Hannah i am 23 and live in Tasmania Australia. I grew up a Christian at my local church until we had to move house during covid times but i try and see the best in the situation. I enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people or listening to nice music. Mum hasn't been too happy lately though because my boyfriend i have been with for 4 months now isn't actually Christian but he seems really nice to me. Dont know what else i am suppose to say i guess but would love to hear from you i like meeting new friends :)

Hi Hannah,

I was born in Tasmania, now living in Queensland. Hope you enjoy your time on the forum.

It is my opinion that time is short, we do not want to be doing anything that could cause us to stumble. Having a boyfriend who does not know Jesus is very risky. I strongly recommend that you consider that Jesus would have us spiritually safe, in every area.

Yes, feelings can be strong. You will find as relationships develop that we find ourselves submitting to one another. i.e. listening to our partner more. The issue with a non-Christain partner is their goals are not aligned with God's will; they may pull you in ways that as a Christain you do not desire, even into things that are spiritually harmful. It is not that your partner is bad, no, just they do not have God's focus. The bible tells us that people that don't know God often come under the influence of satan. They can be used as a way to damage our spiritual life. Many well-meaning Christians have entered relationships with unbelievers, only to regret it later, due to the conflicts that arise.

Just go through nice and comfortable through life even with us non Christians for an even a non Christian can be humble obviously as you pointed out with your boyfriend. It is good that you see romance because sometimes finding a friend can be hard too. Actually in terms of friends, everyone is different because of the personality thing of course.

Hey though, as long as you love him, then why not?

Anywho, welcome to these forums.
