What I wonder is why they don't have a portable tent in the garden or why they didn't just choose to do it inside. If it's raining on 1 or 2 people, it's raining on all of them.

I don't think it was raining when they started and I doubt anybody expected the weather to change that quickly. Hence the asking for umbrellas part way through the presser.

I'm beginning to understand why the left refuses to own up to this man's real scandalous behavior. They can't tell the difference between expecting someone else to hold an umbrella for you and expecting them to give you a pass for everything from murdering an ambassador, lying to the American public, using the IRS to intimidate and threaten your enemies, and.... good grief the list is just too long to even summarize effectively... pretend you're not the most corrupt, un-American, and truly tyrannical president this nation has ever suffered.

I mean, why should he care about getting his hair wet anyway - it's not like his coiff would curl anyway.

I thought the issue was that it violated some USMC uniform code about Marines not holding umbrellas, not that Obama was too much of a sissy to stand in the rain.

The guy holding one for Reagan is in a suit, and the two holding them for the Bushes aren't Marines.
