  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

wow, friendly people!

i'm really impressed with this site. i've been to other christian forums that have strict rules about what you can and can't talk about (like you can't talk about catholicism, etc.). this one seems pretty open. i like that.

hmm.. what else about me? my favorite movie is "the sound of music". i grew up going to awana on wednesday nights and am still involved.

and something embarrassing about me....i fell asleep in the middle of my ACT exam! :sleep: :sleep: :sleep:

Oh dear, Mandi!! Same thing happened to me when I took the PSATs!

I'm pretty new here, too. Like you said, things are pretty open here - from what I've seen! And I haven't seen any disruption from non-christians that happens on alot of other forums I've been to...

I look forward to hopefully chatting with you again!
