Let's sum up Kantian ethics for a moment as "it's not what you do but why you do it."

Let's sum up original sin as "humans are sinful."

Let's sum up pelagianism as "humans are good."

Pelagianism and original sin are usually viewed as completely incompatible. However, we could say that humans are good, but the probability of a human not screwing up in thier entire life at least once, the chance of a human being able to justify (not simply rationalize, but justify) all of thier actions is one (or two depending on how the Second Coming works, hint hint) out of the total human population ever. So by default, we're sinful.

This one figure would be Nietzche's Ubermensch, able to justify all of His actions.

This figure would be able to get to heaven without having to depend on God for salvation, outdoing God's "you need my forgiveness to get in." A consequence of St. Anselm's ontological arguement (God is the greatest thing that can be concieved), would mean that anyone that outdid God is actually God and the figure that was outdone was not really God in the first place.

So, going with Kantian ethics, does it seem possible to argue that the Ubermensch is the Messiah? And is anyone getting the second Matrix movie more than they used to?
