There is a world of difference between letting men compete in women's sports and keeping women out of open sports competitions.

BTW the women who were getting blown away in the mixed relay clip would leave anyone posting in this thread in the dust.

I don't think it got that bad, although they did lose 12-0 to the powerhouse that is Wrexham Red Dragons at the same football-ish tournament a couple of years ago
Admittedly I don't follow soccer, so I can't tell if you're making a joke when you say "powerhouse" lol.

Wasn't sure if they were actually a good men's team, or if "powerhouse" was sarcastic, and highlighting that even the worst mens team can easily beat the best women's team.

Ultimately, this desperate attempt to try to downplay the biological difference between males and females (because it helps further narratives about other gender related discussions) ends up making one side look silly.

I mentioned it before, but progressives are basically giftwrapping an 80/20 issue and giving it to conservatives because they refuse to acknowledge any nuance on this topic.

Good thing we have you here. How many women have you saved from their own poor choices?
I hid my ex wife's credit card when she was already 70k in debt and past due on her other credit cards, does that count?

Would you be okay if a woman decides to take that risk?
Well, if all the women agree to compete against a man, then that's their choice. I guess? Otherwise, if others say no, it shouldn't be happening. I honestly don't understand why this is even a discussion. Men are women are completely, biologically different.

Men shouldn't be invading women's personal space and woman only events. It's that simple.

Who said anything about transgender? I’m saying an adult woman should be perfectly free to decide on her own if she wanted to compete against men. Some here seem to think a woman should not be allowed to make that decision herself. They claim to know better than she does what she can handle. That is the definition of patronizing.
Again, if that's her choice, go for it!

Ahem, a transgender woman IS a man.

I disagree. Even if it is an extreme leftist, blue haired lesbian, who is a victim of the lies of 3rd wave feminism that says that women can do everything better than men, challenges a man in a MMA match, a respectable man would forfeit.

Yup. But if people choose to make dumb decisions....then that's their own choice. I cannot control everything everyone does, you know?

According to Biology, yes. As Ben Shapiro says, facts don't care about your feelings.
Yes. And biology is of real importance in athletics. In particular, it is a scientifically proven fact that biological men have greater bone density, lung capacity, strength, stamina, and recovery time than biological women. So a man playing in a women's league has an advantage comparable to a 250 lb steroid pumped muscle-head wrestling in the 160 lb weight class. So if this female David wants to compete against that male Goliath, it would be foolish not to bet against her.

Exactly! Unfortunately, some trans people think their feelings define their gender over what their biology and chromosomes say. It's sad really.

Yes. Then they are paraded as laughing stocks in the media, like the US woman's soccer team. I have a problem because Biblical masculinity protects women. Therefore, as Christians, men should protect women. Second, not only did the US women's team make a laughing stock of themselves, they made a laughing stock of the US. Because the represent the best the US has to offer in women's soccer.

This is why biological men should not compete in women's sports.
Whut? Apart from the fact that it was over a year ago, it's not meant to be taken seriously. They are more exhibition matches than deadly serious. It's a mixture or men, women, young, old, ex professionals (some world class), college players, amateurs, entertainers, people from other sports...

Saying that women should not be allowed to play is like saying you have to be under a certain age or that amateurs should not play against ex pros or you can't have a basketball or baseball player in your team. But I'm sure that those delicate young ladies feel lucky that some people are keen to protect them from the hurly burly and rough and tumble of sport. Whether they like it or not. Maybe instead of playing they can be told to make some refreshments for the boys and clean and iron the kit.

What an extremely odd complain't...

In passing, if anyone is interested, one of the teams that played in the tournament was Wrexham who play in the English Football League. They are the third oldest club in the world. They were a non league side 3 years ago when Rob McElhenny and Ryan Reynolds became owners. They were promoted back into the league (effectively the fourth tier) 2 years ago, were promoted again into the third tier last year and yesterday won their penultimate game at home to get promoted to the second tier. No football club has ever won three consecutive promotions before. What McElhenny and Reynolds have done is beyond extraordinary.

The boys enjoying the second of the three goals (which was one of the best I've seen this year). You'll notice the sign behind them is in Welsh, Wrexham hailing from North Wales (hence my great delight in their success). I believe that Rob and Ryan have both been learning the language.

Even if everyone competing agrees to it?
I don’t think it’s that clear cut.

I’m sure there instances where women will agree based on belief they can compete or their sport doesn’t necessarily disadvantage based on biological sex.

However there’s so much social pressure to be ‘inclusive’ that I imagine many fear punitive action if they say they aren’t comfortable playing against men.
