This might be similiar to other threads that have been started, but I interested in finding out some information on good seminaries/divinity programs in the States. I've seen other threads on Bible colleges but I'm wondering what seminary programs people have attended and what issues they had to contend with while at seminary.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok, I've heard some stuff about Fuller as well. I am curious to hear from anyone who actually attended there.

I have also heard nothing but good things about Fuller Seminary in Pasadena. Both of the pastors at my church went to Fuller Seminary and they are both extremely talanted and knowledgeable pastors.

I'm trying to find more about schools that have dual programs...particularly a Masters in Divinity and a Masters in either Social Work OR Marriage and Family Therapy.

I honestly don't want to be out West if I don't have too. I am looking at some programs that are more on the east coast.

No problem. I'm seriously considering applying to Gordon-Conwell. They have a program in youth ministry that I really am interested in, plus I've always wanted to live in Boston.
