or #3. The earth could get hit by an asteroid and we will have to fight zombies to get a chicken sandwich from Popeyes.
From what I understand, although longshots, both scenarios are possible. Zombies are real?

Kind of bizarre if you ask me.
In the first place, there will never be 67 Senators voting to impeach Biden. We could only get about 56 voting to impeach Trump, and there were far more serious reasons with far more serious evidence.
My post was based on the severe shelacking that the dems are going to get in the midterms. The House and the Senate would look much different than they do today.

In the second place, I see no evidence that Biden is mentally impaired.

OK... next post.

Hi @hislegacy

I would agree that option #3 is about as likely as either of the other two. @JacksBratt seems to have filled up his Kool-Aide cup to overflowing yesterday.

God bless,
Ted
I drank no kool aide.. I just gave two possible, however unlikely, scenarios.

Truth is stranger than fiction, after all.

Hi @miamited

The difference between my post and yours is that I ridiculed the idea and you ridiculed and insulted the man. God cannot bless that, no matter how you sign off.
Thank you.

OK, there is two very possible scenarios that have two very polar opposite and significant endings.

1/ Biden appoints Harris to the supreme court.
Then, selects Hillary the Clinton..... as the new Vice President.
The administration enacts the 25th amendment and retires old Joe due to mental inadequacies.
The Hillary of Clinton becomes the 47th President.

2/ The Republicans take the house and the senate in the Midterms.
The republicans appoint the Donald to be speaker of the house.
The Donald impeaches Biden and Harris.
As he is third in line... The Donald becomes the 47 President of the US.
AND... an added bonus.. He can still run in 2024 for another four years.

Both are possible.

Hi @JacksBratt

Oh, alright. You really didn't present them as 'however unlikely, scenarios' in your OP. Therefore, I thought you were making some serious ruminations.

I'm willing to wait and see what kind of shellacking is given to who in the midterms. For my personal feelings on the issue, the Republicans seem to have just gone waaaay off the deep end in this love and adoration for some man that was once the president. I've never witnessed such an act of political demagoguery in my 66 years of living on the earth.

God bless,
Ted

I've bookmarked that post. If Biden got 81 million votes... anything is possible.
He will get a couple hundred million next time. Since half the planet and most dead people will vote in 2024... and wondrously they will all vote democrat.

OK, there is two very possible scenarios that have two very polar opposite and significant endings.
1/ Biden appoints Harris to the supreme court.
Why? She has not indicated any interest in being a judge, is a heartbeat away from the presidency, and probably won't make it through the confirmation process.

Then, selects Hillary the Clinton..... as the new Vice President.
Even if Hilary wanted the position, which is doubtful since she didn't run for President in 2020, she has to be elected by a majority in both the Senate and the House, which isn't going to happen.

The administration enacts the 25th amendment and retires old Joe due to mental inadequacies.
The Hillary of Clinton becomes the 47th President.

Even assuming the extreme unlikeliness of both almost impossible confirmations, in order to invoke the 25th, Hillary would have to get a majority of Biden's Cabinet to support her and then a 2/3 vote in both houses, which would require significant Republican support. Considering that Hillary is the bette noire of the Republican party, that's not going to happen.

2/ The Republicans take the house and the senate in the Midterms.
This one I'll grant you is not only possible but likely.
The republicans appoint the Donald to be speaker of the house.
Technically possible, but unlikely. There has NEVER been a speaker who isn't a member of the House. Neither has Donald even teased a possible run for the House. And that doesn't even take into account that there is no way McCartney is going to simply let go of the Speakership when he's been working for towards it for a decade.
The Donald impeaches Biden and Harris.
Sure, it's possible that the House impeaches Biden and Harris. But removal requires 67 votes in the Senate. Even if the Republicans were to win every single seat in the upcoming election, they will only have 64 seats in the Senate and will still require 3 Democratic senators to go along with it. And since those seats includes California, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Illinois, New York and Connecticut, that's only slightly less likely then JFK Jr. coming out of hiding to become VP.
Both are possible.

Both are possible, but both are incredibly unlikely.

IMO, they would even let Biden go until he can't remember his wife's name, before they would let Harris become President.
Also, Harris is appointed to VP and would jump at the chance to become a lifetime judge. Especially when she is well aware of the fact that she is not going to ever run for President again.

Even if Hilary wanted the position, which is doubtful since she didn't run for President in 2020, she has to be elected by a majority in both the Senate and the House, which isn't going to happen.
Hillary still holds the belief that she won in 2016 and would jump at the chance to be a part of this scenario. If enough Repulicans that are "establishement" and anti Trump vote.. it is possible.

There is even talk of her running for 2024.

Could be. Hopefully this is not a path that the leaders want to explore anyway.

This one I'll grant you is not only possible but likely.

Historically, the numbers show this as the likely outcome.

Technically possible, but unlikely. There has NEVER been a speaker who isn't a member of the House. Neither has Donald even teased a possible run for the House. And that doesn't even take into account that there is no way McCartney is going to simply let go of the Speakership when he's been working for towards it for a decade.

You're probably right but this is a crazy game of chess that has been playing out these last 6 years.

Sure, it's possible that the House impeaches Biden and Harris. But removal requires 67 votes in the Senate. Even if the Republicans were to win every single seat in the upcoming election, they will only have 64 seats in the Senate and will still require 3 Democratic senators to go along with it. Both are possible, but both are incredibly unlikely.

I agree.
