  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi all!
1. I'm going to Japan Nov. 20-29th please pray for safety (flying and earthquakes, esp.) Also pray that I'd have a good time with my husband's family while there and be able to somehow tell them about Christ. Travel safety.

2. The anniversary of my brother, Allan, and I's problem will be coming up on Dec.23rd. It will be six years. I have prayed every year daily, sometimes hourly, for us to be reconciled. He wants to and I want to. I wish that someone would finally be willing and able to get us together so we could talk. He is so involved in his cult that he might have to be "tricked" into meeting. But he is a sad man and the more I read about cults the more I see that he is suffering and I want him to know that I care. We have not had real contact since the cult's lawyer threatened my husband. But he and I still care. So pray that we will be able to meet. I have hated Christmas since all of this has happened and I would now like to enjoy the holiday being at peace with my friend and knowing that at last God has let me show him kindness.

Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU that all things are known to YOU and that no request is too big or too small for YOU to handle. YOU know the desire of Rose's heart, for YOU have placed it there. I am standing in faith even now LORD GOD and declaring not only that reconciliation will occur but also that Rose's brother will come to know our precious JESUS as his friend, Savior and LORD! I ask that YOUR peace and YOUR joy flood over Rose and all of her family, in JESUS name. And together we shall sing praises unto YOU and give YOU and YOU alone all the glory, in JESUS name.:amen:

Father, have your hand on Rose and her family. Keep them safe and fulfill them in their hearts. Give favor and good relationships with the in-laws and help them to hear the Word of god openly. Work in their heart toward salvation. plant seeds everywhere they turn to minister to their hearts. Amen

Help Rose through this sitation with her brother. Give her wisdom and help her to stand before you in prayer until this brother is delivered from darkness to light.

The battle hurts in our families Lord. We ache for mending and love. Ease families hearts through the holidays. Amen

I am overwhelmed with thankfulness to all of you for your prayers and faith. I am hoping to be able to shine for the Lord in Japan. Do you know that there is more hope of finding a Christian in the middle of the jungles in Africa than in that dark country? Also I know absolutly nothing of their language and ways. In Taiwan I at least know about 20 Chinese words and their customs. So it will be an adventure on all fronts.

Yesterday I had to quit yet another group. I found it was totally in league with my friend Allan's church. They told me that I had a demon because I believe in reconciliation. They said that to want to reconcile was evil because my brother is a man and that I only needed to speak to God and not to my brother. I knew that was wrong and I determined to never go back to that prayer meeting again.

I do so miss my friend. He is so lost in darkness. I am reading a book on Cults and he is definately in one and according to the book he is in the most evil kind of cult there is. The control in his type of cult is greater than others and since he is a pastor for him to leave is very difficult.

So do continue in prayer. The Lord told me in the Word today to never stop believing and coming to the throne for him. I will never stop praying for his deliverance.

p.s. Yes this desire for reconciliation is a God thing. I would have tired out by now in my own self. Six years is a bit long to wait. But he needs someone to bring him before the Lord. I have prayed for almost 20yrs for my husband. Somehow the answers will come.

Also thanks to dtrb and Saved Child for your dear prayers. (I didn't know you two were on the site.) I am so amazed that anyone would pray for my little stuff. But my brother's soul is what is important here. A soul is of such worth that Christ decided to die for it. So my brother's deliverance is a big thing in the scheme of things. I'll tell you all how the trip went and if anything positive happens with my friend. God is working. Thanks again--Rose

Thanks Gmrelic and Izzy for your prayers. My friend did not call yesterday. I do hope to bump into him or still get a call before I go to Japan. I really miss him. I am praying that God will break into his darkness and help me continue in prayer. I am so grateful for others helping me lift him to the Lord.--Rose
