Interesting and good to know. Now for the more interesting question, do you guys also drink/like warm beer and eat/like kidney pie (speaking of you and Rebornfree personally here as well the general public)? Neither sounds very appetizing to me, in fact, I can't imagine liking it.

it is called Steak and Ale Pie

i.e. pie without the kidneys I assume Dave. In answer to your question David I used to enjoy steak and kidney pie but now prefer lighter food, and the idea of cooking offal puts me off! As for warm beer - I prefer chilled wine! Beer (not necessarily warm) and steak and kidney pies are quite popular though!

Teaming up sweet and savoury in the same dishes is something I found when I visited the USA years ago. We had bacon, doughnuts and maple syrup together. I enjoyed it, but it's not a combination we would do here. Is it usual?
