I am going to get a BBT this week and start charting it and my CM. I should ovulate the end of this month, so I have my hopes up. What worries me is that I am alot older than when I had my last child, and my hubbie is too. I keep getting these what if questions running through my mind. I know we just started, but it only took us one month with our daughter and our oldest we weren't even trying. I guess I really need to turn it over to the Lord and stop letting these fears and doubts get in. He is the one that led me to start again. I had made up my mind not to have anymore. But God has different plans.

Have you tried FertilityFriend.com? Hubby and I just started using it and its pretty cool. It shows you your fertile days and when you should start your period.

I have been using MyMonthlyCycles. Sounds alot like FertilityFriend. I think I will go check out FF now. Thanks!

I've just started using fertilityfriend and i also use mymonthly cycles for just recording my dates (i started with tht) but someone on here referred me to FF

Hope you get on well with it and that we start hearing some success stories soon!!

You too! I just hate the waiting game! You know for the last year time has FLOWN by, but since I started TTC time has basically STOPPED!! I can't remember a week lasting this long since I was in grade school! And I can't stop that little voice in my head that keeps saying, Oh your period was too short, maybe you are pregnant. It is like some sadistic demon!!

Here is a question for you ladies.

At what point will you seek medical help? Just say after 6 months... 1 year, 2 years?

DH and I were talking about what point we would seek help from a fertility doctor/get tested etc.

well, i am currently getting some help because of my disorder that doesn't help w/ TTC.......so, im meds for that and next week i have an appt. to up my meds and start clomid. if things don't work within 6 months i will go see a fertility specialist that i know in the area that is good. my hubby already told me to call our insurance and see what it covers regarding this.

Yes I believe it does. We are extremely blessed to both have exceptional health insurance through our employers.

I said before AF arrived this cycle that if this wasn't our month, it was time to see a doctor. We have been trying 'officially' for about 8 months but unofficially over a year.

I am lucky enough to live in Australia...where we have free health care for everyone. We can have private health insurence (pros of which are; choice of hospital, doctors etc) and we do. My health fund will pay for fertility aids, including 2 IVF attempts per year. The Government will also pay for the first 2.

So at some stage this week I will be finding a GP, whom will hopefully refer us to a fertility specialist.

Everything i have read so far suggests that a couple try for a year to get pregnant before seeking help due to the increase in positive results within the first year its something like, 50% in 6months, 60% in 7months, just over 90% success rate in a year.

But that's just a guide, people should go with how they feel. My hubby and i will probably stick with the year if it has to come to that (praying not!), everything in God's timing, altho after a year and if i'm still not pregnant i would like to know if there's anything wrong.

My best friend and her husband are having a lot of trouble conceivng and the fertility clinics wouldn't even see them until they had been trying for a year. At the ten months mark, they were able to get a spem counts and an ultra-sound done.

I think my hubby and I will get medical help at about the 1 year mark. We'll see... I may get antsy after 6 months.

I know we just started ttc but it feels like it's taking forever! I have wanted to have a baby since we first got married and even though I am on the pill, whenever my cycle seemed off or was even slightly late, I got nervous and excited thinking I could be pregnant. Then IT came and there were times when it really upset me even though we weren't officially trying.

May God grant us all the patience to continue and not lose hope!
