Can I join you all? I just joined Christian Forums. My name is Barb and I'm 32 years old. I live in Minnesota with my husband (Chris, 31) and daughter (Michelle, 17 months). I have had 3 miscarriages before our daughter. I have PCOS, so I don't ovulate all the time. I have taken Clomid in September and October. I now am waiting to test or af to show. I see the doctor on November 20th. I'm ovulating late and the doctor wants to talk to me. I'm also taking Metformin. Hope to get to know you all.

No AF- but I am having surgery on Tuesday and they needed to perform a pregnancy test to make sure that I could take the medication they gave me.

well, it sounds like you need the surgery... if you were pregnant, does that mean you would have to put that off? after you feel better from all of this it will be better timing for you...

No they still could have done the procedure. It was just to see about a certain type of medication they gave me until Tuesday.

It breaks my heart though

If you are sexually active, you should be getting yearly paps. They are extremely important. I don't understand how and why women cannot understand the importance of these tests.

They are not comfortable but they do not hurt. And think of what could possibly be down the road if you don't get tested- You will be in a heck of alot more pain and discomfort if you were faced with ovarian cancer (think it can't happen to you? The risk is something like 1 in 4 women.)

Please, I am begging you to have a pap done. YOu can request a female OBGYN if you are not comfortable with a male. Like I said, I cannot stress the sheer importance of having these done.

And if it is being that exposed to someone that frightens you- think about having a baby Normally when you have a pap there is only a dr and a nurse present. When you have a baby it will be everyone and their grandmother in there. And the pain? If you don't think you can handle the pain of a pap smear- good luck with the whole delivery thing

you must go get one... its not as bad as it sounds. no one likes them but they are very important!

(altho took a test and it said no altho don't know yet because my cycles are so messed up it could be too early to tell?!)
Peeps with regular cycles are blessed you know, i don't know how i can handle waiting 7 weeks each time to see if i'm pregnant!

Does anyone else have really long gaps between periods? I'm 7 weeks since my last now. I'm thinking i should get a check up. cos i'm no where near the average 28 - 35 days cycle. I'm up at 49 days at the moment.

I posted this on the other board for you too... Hey Jillymac, I am like you.. my regular is very irregular. Af like every couple of months or longer. What you are describing could be pg, could be pms, but actually could also be late ovulation. Anytime you have cm, go do the bd! What would help you the most would be temp charting. That takes the guess work out of it. You'll know when you've o'd and when af is due, or when you're just no o'ing. Thanks so much faithingrace, i will have a look at that website, i have thought about temping before, But never knew quite how to do it, was going to buy some expensive thing that does it all for you, but it was too pricey.
