Tesla cut prices on models in China a week ago after sales in that country plunged in December​

The electric automaker has reportedly cut prices on some models by nearly 20%, according to the Wall Street Journal.

So it seems like a good car to go over a cliff in, but a poor choice to auto-pilot through a tunnel.

At this point I could exit my position with a profit. Am I going to do that? Nope. Am I going lighten my position? Nope. Am I going to add to my position. Nope. I'll just let it ride.

It's entirely possible that the downtrend could continue. If it does I've got room to buy more. I'm a little below what I would consider to be a base position. You can't always get everything exactly right.

Would I suggest starting a position here? Ehhh!! Yah, maybe a small one. If you get a dip below $120 or $115 add a little more. I think that even if the downtrend is over, it's gonna be a while before it makes a move back above $150. It's apt to be stuck down here for a while.

So buy it, or don't buy it, I can't tell anybody what to do. Six months from now I may look like a complete idiot. But at some point you have to make a decision, do I want to own TSLA or not? If the answer is yes, then you just have to figure out what price you're willing to pay. We know what mine was, what's yours?

FYI, sold some TSLA.

I never like it when someone says... o yeah I bought this right at the bottom or I sold it right at the top. So I always like to tell people when I'm buying and when I'm selling.

That said, I sold some TSLA today. For two reasons, one, the position had gotten to be larger than I wanted it to be, and two, it had just run up too much.

So there you go, I sold some, about 20% of my position. Got it back in line again. The rest of it I'm just gonna hold onto for the time being.
