When I was diagnosed with depression years ago, how I overcame it was not by taking pills (the pills did not work) but by training myself to think positivity and make changes in my lifestyle. I took on a hobby. Did me wonders.
Perhaps if you are depressed you can make some lifestyle changes too to try and overcome it. But if you really think that pills are helping you, then you could take those too.
