  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes. Basically Karl Marx wants to bring about the classless society and make everyone rich in culture and knowledge, and equal (not poor) in material assets and wealth so there is no gap between bourgeois and proletariat. His opponents are the captialists who will inevitably fail. Attempting to recreate a mindset that of socialist realism, and that the current class system is trapping the thirs world into debt spirals and so on. The irony is that Karl Marx was a upper class German who had a priviledged educated, but he has a utopian type dream.

The 60th yule log here in Colorado with my close friends. There are only three in the country and they go through the woods in the snow searching for an old log, and then bring it back to the cabin, and the choir sang christmas carols and we had drinks and cookies. The old fashioned looking santa was there with his leather suit. :)

who was the last person you kissed?

heh heh. :) prolly a dozen gorillas. :) they would eat all the bananas so I wouldn't have too, and carry me around like I'm their baby monkey. :) They wouldn't hurt me I don't think cause animals like my kind and gentle nature and think I could tame a lion, though I would never try it! :D Plus, seagulls would steal ALL of my food, and poke my eyes out. Gorillas are much smarter creatures.

Have you ever gone to an event you never heard of? if so, what was it?

Yes, actually I was tricked into going over 800kms for a Ba'hai conference over a previous New Years; they were all like how would you like to go to 'such and such for New Years'? I was like whoa sweet...let's do it! :D

What was the deepest spiritual experience you've ever experienced?

when I was fifteen I became a Christian. Before I read the Bible and such, but I went to church for the first time since I was six, and it is like I heard the gospel message for the first time. Though I had read it, it had never sunk in before then of what Christ did for me on the cross. So I came to know Christ and have never turned back since then.

what is the first thing you do when you start to feel down?

Laugh, I find the human nature in me funny...I usually follow up by examining my own psyche and depending on the experience I may sleep for awhile or read my Bible for an answer :)

Which Biblical story do you most relate your life to?

It depends on what's getting me down. Often I'll just find a quiet place cry and start to pray. Other times I'll put on my running shoes and run and pray. Or I'll go out and completely push whatever is bothering me aside so I don't think about it.

How do you like to celebrate accomplishments?

Edit: Ya beat me to the question! :p

But to answer yours... I think I can relate to the story of Jonah and the Whale most.

I'm often singing His praises throughout the day, so I guess all day... even though I do think about other things I am often comparing things to how they will please God (as shocking as this might come to many haha).

What angers you the most?
