  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We are human, IF even those in the Bible had their times of doubt how much more will we?

Anyone that says it's always easy is deceived

If it becomes easy and we remain where it's easy always there is no growth.

It really just depends on what the struggle is and what I am trusting for. If it is an issue I have trusted many times in the past and He pulled me through... in my heart it becomes easier to trust.

If it is new ground, then while in my head I know He can be trusted, my heart remains an issue and there is fear/anxiety etc. because its "new". While my head knows God is in control of all things and CAN be trusted....in my heart there are times I am just like Peter,I look at the waves and the circumstance and cry out for the Lord to save me.

The heart is what needs to be dealt with and in many cases is the reason He allows circumstances to take place, because while intellectually we may "understand" God... our heart does not, but through circumstances of hardship and through His guidance, at the end of that struggle we will understand Him that much more. Not just in the hallow impersonal intellectual level, but at the intimate level of the heart as well.

If I work and pray at cleaning the inside of my cup.....(heart) so then will the outside be clean as well.

The cleaner my heart, the cleaner my tongue and the less it will defile me and the closer I will be to being like Christ. Since I will NEVER be perfect on this earth, there will always be some issue to deal with, a new struggle against my flesh, so there will always come times of doubt, but as the Spirit grows in me, those moments should be less frequent.

Can't give you a straight answer here. A lot of things impact how much I trust Him...emotion, sin, how much I want or realistically think it will happen, and a lot of other things like that that really shouldn't affect how much I trust Him, but do.

I don't think we ever know what God is doing but in hindsight we can see his work in our life. So not knowing what hes doing in my life right now doesn't effect my trust in him at all. By definition he is omnibenevolent so if you can't trust him then you can't trust anyone.

Is it easy or hard for you to trust God when you don't know what He is doing?

I'd say it is not always easy but, it is easier to trust the Lord as my faith has grown and I am in his Word. Much easier now than earlier in my walk.
