The Lord Our Shepherd (Psalms 23)
I have also given a description on what this psalm means to me on a personal level, it could mean the same for some others or slightly different, but I do think it is one of the most comforting psalms.
The Lord is my Shepherd; I have everything that I need. He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quite polls of freash water.
( Jesus Christ is our teacher and Jesus Christ our salvation, we maybe in need of many things but the promise of eternal life has been given to us, our faith give's us hope and makes us joyfully of God mercy this calms our minds and fills our spirits with renewing hope)
He gives me new strengh. He quides me in the right paths, as he has promised. Even if I go through the deepest of darkness, I will not be afriad, Lord, you are with me. Your shephers rod and staff protect me.
( We may be unhappy at times but it passes and God renews us from day to day, Most of the time we dont know were we are going but God always knows were he is sending us, Even when we are sick and troubled it can never touch the love of God that is in us, Once the fog clears it is easer to see the good things God has done and is still doing right now in your life and mine)
You prepare a banquet for me, where all my enemies can see me; you welcome me as an honoured quest and fill my cup to the brim.
(Its not easy to be a Christain or even be a good person, there will always be ones that would just like to see you fall in your face just out of a spitefull heart or some unhappyness in there life, only cause you are a kind person and try to be good to others, but you have God in your heart not spite and ignorance)
I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life; and your house will be my home as long as I live.
(We may at sometime fall out with God for whatever reason, but it will not last for ever the love and forgiveness God has for us in Jesus Christ can never be totally broken past repair, and the fellowship we have with our fellow christians and friends no matter what they are can build us up and heal us in times of need)
