The new deal for the 2018-2019 fiscal year is $285 million less than the world body’s staggering $5.4 billion budget for fiscal year 2016-2017.

The ambassador went on to say that she hopes to help make even more reductions in the UN’s budget in the years to come.

Conservatives in the United States have been against the UN for a very long time. I've seen people calling for the US to pull completely out of it before.

Amusingly enough, the only german language news source that already reports this is Sputnik News, a well know russian propaganda outlet. All the german news sources aren't publishing because of the holidays.

News of the UN is obviously inconsequential, otherwise German outlets would report it. Unless you're going to tell me that all news outlets in Germany shut completely down for a Christian holiday season?
