It does recognize evil acts.
No, it just recognizes illegal acts. The laws of a secular state are not moral precepts, just rules that we have to follow. They may reflect the moral sentiments of those who craft them but they are not in themselves moral statements.

1 Peter 2:14
Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

I think this is great. The government’s main job is to punish (inflict negative consequences upon) evildoers. Leeching off this country is wrong, and they should go back to their own countries and work.

They've ruined their own country, they'll move on after they've ruined ours. If we don't do something soon they will outnumber us. There are to many now in high places.

All of us are sinners since Adam and Eve except Jesus, though some of us humans sin less than others. None of us are perfect.

....yet, it seems some are willing to throw the sinner label at those crossing the border while consuming the services many of them provide in our economy.
Not all who cross the border are enemies. Yes, the drug traffickers and the like and those causing mischief in the US.

Once more, many of the drug runners who enter through our ports of entry - where most illegal drugs enter - are American citizens.

Here in the DMV (DC, and MD and VA suburbs) a melting pot in parts the last two decades. Had one person working at the counter at a local quick eat restaurant, not Chick-fil-a, and whoa middle age Hispanic, nicest gentlemen and truly interested in serving the customers. Unsure if he himself came across the border, but likely one or more of his relatives has. Have been in Ubers and Lyfts around here, of those who crossed the border, did so in the right way and have their green card or H1-B visa. Met a asylum refugee from Afghanistan recently arrived, at the local grocer, helped her with a couple of things with her shopping, her English limited but came from a good family which learned. On the other hand, those with bad behavior that come across to cause trouble, blasting music not caring for their neighbors, petty theft, loitering at 7-11s, and some much worse.

Yes, I recall the metro DC area had a signficant number of hispanics from Central America...and that was in the early 90's (result of the wars in Central America during the 1980's). And like any group of humans, there are good and bad actors. However, it's easy for politicians to demonize blame the immigrant population as a whole for the woes of our society. It's not new of course. Irish, Italians, Jews, Mormons etc have all been targets of politicians in the past.

...the entire construction industry. Services in hospitality, landscaping, restaurants.....
And what is your point exactly? Are people supposed to not consume the service of the construction industry?

No, the real problem is that asylum seekers (as opposed to illegal economic migrants) are in the country legally and it's harder to exploit them.

Corruption of minors is an example.
Yes that is a law reflecting the moral sentiments of those who crafted it. But it is not, in itself, a moral statement, but a secular law. For example, a girl in Mississippi can legally marry at 15 or even younger with court approval, but many people would consider that immoral corruption of a minor.

It arose from the question of whether crossing the border illegally was immoral because it was against the law or immoral independently of the the law.
In this case, it’s immoral because of the law.
