I don't get the Trump comes across as too liberal bit. However, this reminds me of how the majority of our perception is our own and we have nothing in common with anything else. The part we have in common with anyone else is the societal part that we look at what we have in common in order to communicate and collaborate as a society.

Since my sphere of societal perception is not American, it ends up falling in the larger circle or sphere of stuff that only makes sense to one person.

I think it is because I have yet to experience Trump in a way that reflects the picture painted in your post.

Yes, it's more difficult to understand as separate from the culture.

Trump's just a decent guy and that's how he comes across.

It's highly unusual because of his wealth but he grew up around construction and construction workers.

Trump claims to be "Christian", yet his lifestyle includes all sorts of
behavior that is incompatible with Christianity.

Besides being convicted of 34 felonies for financial fraud (this is not
compatible with Christian behavior), Trump continually lies about all
sorts of topics that the fact-checking journalists are kind enough to
point out, as lies. Lying about reality, is incompatible with Christianity.

A politician trying to gain the votes of religious groups, is nothing new.
But Trump actually CLAIMS TO BE A CHRISTIAN, which is a ludicrous
claim, given so much of his behavior.


Would Mormons want to elect a president that is a many-times-over convicted
felon, and who lies continuously? And this, while claiming to be a Christian?

Kamala also claims to be a “Christian”. Yet she got cushy job appointments while sleeping with still married Willy Brown in California. You might think that could be incomparable with Christianity.

Kamala might need to be charged with corruption for the cushy appointments she accepted from corrupt Willy Brown. Nothing yet on that, but it does not pass the smell test. Was that compatible with Christianity?

Kamala even created a group called ‘Catholics for Harris’ which is pretty incredible considering her abortion advocacy. Kamala CLAIMS TO BE A CHRISTIAN which is a ludicrous claim while at the same time supporting the killing of innocent human beings.

Would Mormons want to elect Kamala, who is against so much of the things they stand for, and also claiming to be a Christian? They already voted for Trump over the Democrats twice now. All that’s changed is that Trump was convicted on Trumped up charges AND that the Democrats found yet another candidate that is worse than Trump. And she too claims to be a Christian, if you can believe that.
