During President Trump’s first comming, he was called a modern King Cyrus and there were hints of something more. President Trump survived numerous assignation attempts and won reelection by an overwhelming landslide. President Trump is beyond a mere mortal.

Wow, you have a higher opinion of him than I do. Who would've thought.

I would've thought the motels, bars and pubs would all have set up get togethers for the inauguration. If they disnt then that was pretty dumb. Missed out on a lot of extra revenue selling food and drinks. People would've gotten together for that. They do it for sporting events and rhe people have a great time being with others who they have something in common with.

This inauguration has been the most pro Christian ever. Hopefully we make it official. Notice to Jews and Muslims, Glory to Christ, His Truth is marching on!

You dont suppose it was done to encourage people not to stand around out in the cold? I mean that's why they moved indoor in the firat place. People may choose to do it of course, but at least Trump can't be accused of encouraging a dangerous situation.
Trump has a history of encouraging dangerous situations.

Lee Greenwood says Trump may take the oath of office on a new limited edition Trump bible that is going to be released tomorrow
Phew, at least this didn't happen. Trump didn't need any Bibles at all, although two were handy.

Trump did not place hand on Bible for oath of office during his inauguration but supporters defend president over ‘rushed’ ceremony

President Trump did not place his hand on a stack of two Bibles held by first lady Melania Trump as he was sworn into office on Monday — but many social media users came to his defense, arguing the oath was rushed.

Oh, just you wait. He's already been talking about the TV ratings.

Trump inauguration draws 24.6 million viewers, a steep drop from 2021 and 2017

Nielsen data showed Trump’s festivities averaged 24.6 million viewers across 15 networks from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern, a decline of 27% from four years ago. The figure was also down 20% from Trump’s first inauguration.

Inauguration viewing peaked overall in the 12:15 p.m. Eastern quarter hour at 34.4 million, falling short of the 40 million viewers who watched Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris take the oath of office in 2021.

The audience level for a presidential inauguration are historically far lower for incumbents elected to a second term. But there is no comparable situation for Trump, the first president elected to a second nonconsecutive term since Grover Cleveland in 1892.

Why was there a stack of Bibles? Does the oath still count?
