Right, but they are a group watching this, and having commented. Some, were even attendance in the court to see and hear for themselves. And legal scholars are certainly professionals...
They are two individuals. The only one I am aware of who went was Dershowitz and only for one day. So far I have not heard anything much from either lawyer with concrete objections.
I am talking about some, that are ivy league law professors......
I listen to them as professionals with good credentials.
Which is fair. It is also fair to point out that two people out of all those watching the case is a minuscule percentage. The objections they have raised have been poor and not well fleshed out. I do not find their claims to be substantive or believable.

YMMV

You should have heard some of professional Dershowitz's comments during the Clinton impeachment. My goodness his opinions changed when Mr Trump hired him during one of his impeachments lol.

It seems even legal scholars will alter their opinions depending on where their paycheck comes from. The fact these pundits graduated law school doesn't automatically verify their opinions. The fact they are paid to convince people by partisan media or politicians lessens the validity of their opinions. Leaning on these opinions to form one's perceptions is quite risky.
Let's not get into lawyers changing their mind. Think Cohen. Dershowitz was not disbarred after all, nor did he steal (embezzle) from his employer (Harvard university). And not only that, other testimony was given, because Cohen could not be believed, but anything seemingly to corroborate what he said by other testimony, only......
If you think there is some problem with Dershowitz testimony, there are others who corroborate with him as a group watching this...

Well, there are people and organizations that do that, sure. I watched "The Five" on Fox (On Youtube) discuss this and pretty much destroy it, but I don't see them as a "watchdog group". I see them as pundits that analyze events from an informed and to some degree biased perspective. Same with CNN and MSNBC, though the latter has more in common with The Onion.
There are organizations who have a job to look at courts throughout the world and point out corruption and issues. Would you not expect them to weigh in if the USA, generally regarded as having a good record on a free and impartial judiciary, suddenly started persecuting someone? Especially a current politician?

If you think there is some problem with Dershowitz testimony,
Testimony is under oath. Dersh is opining and his impartiality is questionable.

He is not an independent expert. He was part of Trump's entourage at the trial.
There are zero independent experts. Zero. In our current political environment, if someone is truly independent, they are not an expert.

What a terrifying world you inhabit, where opinions are either ill-informed or biased. Knowledge is impossible.

I live in a world of human beings in the US in the 21st century. What world do you live in?

I've been a political pundit so long I used to call into political talk radio in Seattle back in the day before Rush even broadcasted there. And the talk shows had a horrible liberal bent. I'm biased in the same way that an American that hated japan in 1941 was biased, or a Brit that hated Germany in 1940 was biased. Sometimes, bad guys are the bad guys, and anyone that claims to be unbiased, is the opposite of unbiased.

For the record, I was temp-banned twice from my long term favorite forum (A member since 1997) during the 2016 election because of the comments I made against Trump. I was no fan and considered him to be a chameleon. But once he became president I loved what he actually did, and especially with them pulling out all the stops to hold him back. You know, stuff like Russiagate. I consider him the best president in my lifetime. I'm 70.

I also think he's rife with the same flaws pretty much all powerful men throughout history have had. Even King David. But as one woman on NPR said back in 2016, "I'm voting for president, not husband".

BTW, this issue is why I'm troubled by our elections won "in the middle" with the "undecided" voters. Only a literal fool is still undecided at this point. It is born of ignorance, not "thoughtfulness". i.e. I don't believe it when people say they are undecided. And if they truly are undecided, they have no business voting. Their ignorance makes their vote poison to the democratic process. It's why, my entire adult life, I never vote in elections where my only familiarity with the candidates is seeing their ads or their signs in people's yards. I will not stain the quality of my community via my ignorance.

That was one poll. Another one had Biden up by 16. And another one had Kennedy up by 19.

It is better to take the average of all of them than focus on one poll.

I have family there. So yes, I go back about once a year. I read an article in a San Francisco newspaper about 35 years ago where the author had visited Seattle and she said it was like San Francisco, "ten years ago" and it reminded her of how San Francisco "used to be". I said to myself, "uh oh". And I was right. Seattle is an awful place now. In fact, just before I left I called it a "Gold plated garbage can". There were no homeless on the street.

Now my daughter that lived in Ballard has moved to east Louisville (about six years ago) and my daughter that lived on Pill Hill moved to Louisville just two weeks ago. The third daughter still lives in the area near Sand Point Way by the old naval air station. She may be stuck because they bought a $2mm home there a few years ago - and her husband's internet company is established there. He has over 40 developers working for him and he does not want to uproot the whole thing.

It is not really saying much. Only Tacoma and Seattle are liberal. The rest of the state is pretty red.

Tacoma has gotten ugly too! Except the north end. They do override the whole state. Vote in liberals, then initiatives (remember tim eiman) to over turn their policies later. Schizo...

Did you mean there were homeless on the street? Cuz there are.

I do not even like driving into Seattle. You could see the homeless tents all over along the freeway coming in. My daughter took her kids to some events there a couple of times just for weekend fun. She stopped. Just did not feel safe.

Define "expert". I consider this guy an expert:
MSN
Despite Dershowitz's obvious bias he certainly can be expert in his assessment of likelihood a successful appeal by Trump. (That's what the article seems to be given the title, but it just opens to a blank page.)
