The decision was reversed by a bloody civil war, the amendment didn't come until 1868. Every Supreme Court justice and every judge who went along with Dred Scott was wrong. I believe, and Lincoln believed, that the Supreme Court was wrong in multiple instances. Here is another example:Yes, actually he DOES have to obey such a Supreme Court verdict. The President has no authority to interpret the Constitution. He relies completely on the Supreme Court for this. That's what separation of powers is all about.
The Dredd Scott decision was reversed by two Constitutional amendments. Trump is free to advocate for Constitutional amendments as well.
