Special day for me. Was baptized on Thanksgiving Day in 1988. The theme of my testimony was, of course, thankfulness! The final line, "Mostly I'm thankful that for all the years I searched for truth, the Truth found me."
Many trials and tribulations in the decades since - joy over triumphs and occasional grief now over failures - when dwelt upon.
What I'm thankful for today, in my old age? That God has brought me to the place where every single day I can give Him thanks - even on the worst days.
Just for the privilege of knowing Him intimately, through His Son Jesus Christ. And especially for the joy of being encouraged by the stories of brothers and sisters in Christ who live in the same thankfulness.
What a celebration it's going to be at the great Wedding Feast of the Lamb one day!
Everyone's invited! The Bridegroom is knocking at all our doors. Just open and invite Him in, friends.
