  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What is true surrender?

Loving God more than self.
Loving God more than others.
Loving God more than anything.

Allowing God to take out of your heart all of your own desires, and replacing them with His. Laying down all of your goals, plans, aspirations, dreams, visions and desires. Giving them all up to Him, and allowing Him to remold and reshape you.

This is true surrender to the Almighty. Saying, and meaning with your whole heart, “Not my will, but Yours, be done.”

I believe this is true...but does anyone find this surrendering to be a painfull experience...guess Jesus sure did in the end. But, what a resurrection!

The flesh hates it. But, the spirit within loves it. Whichever one we feed (whether the flesh or the spirit) will grow and the other one will starve out.

The Bible says that even Jesus learned obedience through the things He suffered.

Good point about "what a resurrection!" We are called to fellowship in His sufferings but ALSO to experience the power of His resurrection. I believe that this is here on this earth -- not only in Heaven!

I believe this is true too. The more we let Him pare away the flesh and we let it die...the more we experience His resurrection life...even here, in this life.

The outward man perishes, but the inward man thrives. :)
